Skated in the ice cold bullshit with my busted knee. Winter sucks. But it's cool this thread just hit 1000.

i've actually been able to get in some good runs the last few days. If its in the 30s I won't go skate, its just not fun for me. Its been nice during the days though and I've been able to cruise campus some and ride the dog. I just got him a harness this week and he loves pulling me around, it wears his ass out too
As of now I have no daily rides up here at UNH...its sucks cuz all the Public Works guys at the University only feel the need to clean up the roads if there's going to be another blizzard of 76 coming our way. I truly look forward to salt free roads and spring temperatures that don't freeze your face when you ride
I rode around my house...got yelled at..practiced doing applesauces and applejuices..in my house..fell....got yelled at......man i hate winter so much.
Woohoo! Finally got to skate (had been since Sunday)! Took my mini to town with me and rode around the medical centre for a while. Kinda sucked though - wet and was on chip-seal (yuck). Got home later and loosened up the trucks on it something severe for some carvey goodness and the Gravity m27 delivered. Skated for an hour on this little 15mph or so slow stuff long stretch of road and just carved back and forth with the sunset in view - was amazing! 50 degrees outside (warmed up a lot!!) and a slight breeze = a wonderful skate session with my brother and one of my friends. I'm so lucky this is near my house. Came back for dinner shortly after sunset like 10 minutes ago. Can't wait to do it again tomorrow.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
It's supposed to get up to 42 today so I might teach my girlfriend how to skate. I would skate myself, but I just had my toe operated on yesterday. I'm in flip-flops until the Monday... and of course it will be back to 20 then.
short. i got my first board yesterday, but it was raining so i went to a local mall garage. i got kicked out by a security guard. its okay though. he was pretty chill about it, he just told me that skating wasnt allowed on the property, so i left.
Alexis.

Sorry to hear that dude! Don't let it bum you out too bad, just find another spot or go back again later.
Took my mini for a spin again today down the road carving around and bombed a small hill on it half a dozen times then pushed back home. Took a quick shower and now I'm off to Lexington for the remainder of the day - happily for me, my parents changed their mind about letting me take my mini with me in the car once they realized how small it actual was, haha. Advantage of a mini. So it looks like I'll get a few minutes in a nice, dry, garage tonight around midnight or so when I gotta pick up my sister at the airport. Fun! Skating sure makes you feel good. Have a great day, SF!

actually its dudette, i suppose.
but thats awesome. i didnt realize that it was okay to board in airport garages .
O MAN, It was great..so great. it was in the high thirtys and it felt like summer. about two ago weeks i got a brandnew vanguard, and today was the first day i have got to ride it on anything more then just a tiny parking lot. i went for my favorite 5mile loop, as i was riding i past this old heavy guy with a beard and a backpack and a weird hat, he was like "skating on the road huh? dont get a ticket" i slowed down thinking he was gonna hassle me but instead he was impressed with my board, he told me about when he was young and he had a narrow little submarine shaped board with plastic trucks and rock hard wheels. he said he busted his ass on it. he then wished me luck and i continued on my way. it was great. one wanker in a car pulled over and was like HEY!! all angry like and i just smiled and waved and cruised right by him, i was pretty proud of my self but a little worried he might of gone to tell the cops, so i kept going practicing my cross steps and apple sauces, wearing in my new wheels, hit my first 30+mph hill on the ole vanguard and it performed just as good as expected, not a single wobble, i then proceded to narrowly dodge the po, i was cruisin down the road when i notcied the silouette of a cop suv parked on the side of the road about an 8th of a mile ahead of me, so i decided to keep riding right by him/her and act like i was doing nothing wrong and maybe if i didn't look sketchy the po man would leave me alone. i push past him with my heart athumpin i risk a glance at the driver and....the car was running but empty..YEAH. i husteled off full speed and didn't look back. o man my longboarding fire is officialy STOKED.
Took my Avenger on its first hill runs... awesome, just awesome. Hit some mellow 20-30ish hills, took it easy since I was in in uncharted territory on a new setup. Board felt absolutely solid, plenty of grip even on the shitty chipseal roads. Can't wait to hit more stuff...
It was a very nice 70 degrees in sunny Florida, and my friends called me up to go eat with them. I drove about half way and I decided to park my car and skate half the way. It was about 2.5 miles and I skated a walmart parking lot with a toe side drift, then went to eat. All in all, it was awesome.
First ride of the year for me. It was a really windy and the roads were spotty with puddles but it was almost 50 here and plenty of sun. best way to start the season. rolled down the hills in my neighborhood for a hour or two. it was great, can't wait for more warm temps.
so i took my dad over to our church for a little sesh in the bleak mid-winter......i'm soooooooo glad he's getting into longboarding!!!! i taught him the proper stance for coleman slides, but he says his knees need some strengthening before he tries some drifts. You don't even know how great it is to be skating with your dad. I worked on my dancing a bit while he just cruised around. Pics to come

Sorry about that. Its not allowed but we did it anyway. Security was either too lazy to do anything last night, or turned a blind eye, or was just busy with more important things. I know they saw me at least once.
The garage last night was okay. It ended up raining yesterday evening and water puddles were everywhere but we skated anyway. The garage is only 3 levels but it sucks because it doesn't spiral down any. It just has one ramp with a turn off in the middle. It exits OUTSIDE rather than on the first floor and ends up right in front of the guard shack. We avoided the ramp because of the guard and just pushed around inside as fast we could and weaved in and out of stuff for fun. My brother and I skated until we were too sore to continue (I'm still sore but am about to go skating again). Was a good evening after all.

Ah man! NOW I'm sore. Skated one of my favourite little runs for about an hour or so. After walking back up the hill half a dozen times we were sore and cramped up so decided it was best to stop before we got wobbly (was just me and my little brother). Saving some of our energy for skating in the next county over with the other half of our crew this afternoon (if it isn't raining yet). Anyway, had a great time and the 50+ degree weather is wonderful. The location is beautiful too - horses, rolling hills, countryside.

it was prime, the weather is still in the 30+F range its great. i didn't go as far as yesterday i just practiced cross stepping on a tiny hill near my house. i also let my little sister ride my pintail. i also passed some little kid who watched me ride by with google eyes, i let him have a go at it.
i just busted my ass on a little curb. i always get injured doing the lamest stuff. hit the thing full on with my hip at about 10mph or so, scraped up the ankle and knee. it doesn't hurt now but it will later.
