Longboard Cruisers, Carving, Commuting, Long Distance Pumping and BoardwalkingWhen it's all about the ride, the general discipline of riding a longboard.
Last night I went downhill for the first time! I set up my scimitar with red and blue khiro barrels and flipped the hangars. We went to a residential area near EVHS in san jose. It was a lot of fun, but I haven't fully relaxed yet
Today I started at like 12, or 11, or something at an old folks home, went like maybe 1/2 a mile in a direction, hit gravel, went back. Skated downtown from said old folks home, caught the very end of the parade. Waded through zillionz, and zillions of fat, slow, trail hogging tourists, went to beach, got hit on by man cleaning bathrooms. Got lunch. Skated around. Went to record store, went to old folks home, skated. Drove to Home Depot and skated down to Walmart, twice, and then once to Boarders, got in car. Went to Subway. Home. Some time in there I fell at a really busy intersection. More like tipped over. I was going too slow waiting for stupid people. Embarrassed a little. Old people told us that they were giving tickets for riding skateboards downtown. Laugh.
Oh. Our boards were in the back of the truck, and my sister didn't close the tailgate all the way and her board almost shot out in a 4 lane highway.
That's it.

I got my first real LDP set-up today and took it out for a test run. It was incredibly fun, but I can tell that certain muscles in my thighs and core are going to be sore as hell tomorrow!!
I forgot parts of my story. A kid pretty much slammed his face into my board looking at it. I had to dodge him, a girl said, "I wish I could skateboard," while walking by, and some kid said that's a "looooooooooooooooooooooooong skateboard". Some middle-aged lady also informed me that longboarding is a blast. "Oh, really?"
I had to skate off the sadness of finding my phone just outside the parking lot where it was lost, crushed, shattered, and destroyed.
On the upside that parking lot is amazingly surfaced, I found myself wishing I would slow down faster (was practicing tricks).
I miss my phone.

BCLongboards
Today I skated by a little kid (maybe 6-8?). He asked me if I was on a longboard, so I said, "Uh huh." Then he paused for a few seconds, and said to me, "Those are so you can do longer tricks?" I was so damn confused by what he was saying that I just said, "Uh huh," again, and then rode off.
Yeah...in the old days we used to put a buffer wheel on the bench grinder, like you use to buff out chrome and such, made out of multiple layers of cloth...just hold your wheels, still on the board/truck up against that bad boy when its spinning at speed for a while, those bearings heat up and spin out the excess lube...tahdah!!!...instant break-in...guaranteed speed in no time!....sometimes ol' skool can still bring it....oh yeah, wear eye protection just in case...hot bearing lube in the eye ain't no party you want to attend...
I luv your diplay pic, i have one of a rabbit.

I was on wheels I wasn't familiar with, heelside standup drift in a shady area, that wasn't quite dry. I changed wheels and went out skating again.....really happy that I didn't have my pipe wrench in my pocket. I didn't spend much time sitting today though

That's your butt? You have a whitehead on your butt.
It's a strange bruise pattern. There's almost a word.
today i was freeriding thru my neighborhood on my schlong busting out slides everywhere when these two pathetic suck-### poser wannabe kickflippers are skating down the road. kinda of wanting to look awsome but mostly wanting to freeride I pull off a perfect perfect colemen right in front of them. with them awe struck one of the ollies and tries to show off. then they look at my schlong and my gloves and my helmet and say "we can do that standing up. we dont need to sit on the ground" and they, from pretty much a stand still, pelvic thrust and move themselves and their board backwards a foot or so. im just standing there laughing to myself as they try to speed off and with them going as fast as they can on this road, I push past them. i found a new spot and continued my freeriding.
sorry for the long post. i just wanted to share it b/c it was hilarious
