How was your daily longboarding ride/s?

If you haven't tossed it yet, can I see a pic? Not picking at you, I just find it interesting when little things happen like this that you wouldn't ordinarily expect. I'm not (prolly never will be) a Slidzilla but there's slow ones in my future.

Yesterday was pretty cool. Took a couple of boards with me to our team outing at big forest preserve because on the flyer it showed a 2.5 mile paved route around the block. Took off immediately on my Demon. I probably should've jogged it first. Then I wouldn't have been surprised at the two sudded drops with sharp turns just before crossing bridges. No harm, no foul, 2 highspeed runouts and today I'm walking a little funny.

Must've been the pumping I tried with a slight taste of success that has the right side of the gluteus maximus a little sore. it's good

the surf was great for longboarding, and when my gir land i were done we made out on our boards in the sand during a spectacular sunset.

already tossed. buy stainless steal ones, not alluminium alloy.

pumped alot today. it came in waves. one minute i was ballerific, the next i couldnt get any momentum.

what'd you pump on? I had my first tiny taste of success yesterday when I realized not only was my demon still moving (ok, a mouse fart faster than crawling) anyway I was still moving and was actually going up a slight incline. Now that I know where this place is, I need to back with the Pulse40

word! after i found the sweet spot on my 30inch pool board I've transferred the skill to bigger boards.

yesterday i was pumping my xvd pintail around.

today at i was having alot of fun with a couple of my buddies at the park and then i had to peee. so i just whipped it out while carving and it was alll goood.

Been getting up at 6AM this week to go on early morning bombings, pretty fun. almost got ran over how ever, i was cutting from the road to the sidewalks, got out of one cars way, then a stupid bitch that was walking turned around and just stared at me, so I had to cut the grass median back on the road which through me off so suddenly, considering I didn't realize there was another car coming that was a few feet from hitting me while i was trying to not loose my balence and fall off (which i didn't tank god).

Same night we bombed 'Wawa hill', a good qaurter-half mile of fresh paved asphault. Only problem is it can only be ran late at night due to traffic. But we hit 35-40 bombing it. funnest hill around our way.

I'm gonna make a video of all our local hills sometime soon

Awesome. Took a little cruise down to the beach on my bigfish and spent a couple hours there, then after a little get-together at my house, I threw on a wedge/dewedge on the aces on my bruce logan 32 and took a nice post-beerpong, post-hookah run through IV, pumping and slashing, throwing little powerslides and toeside speed-checks, shooting through gaps in drunk partiers. feels good man

my switch standers are getting smoother!
getting into doing squat slides (no hands down) and stale fishes.

was able to pump from a slight roll up to enough speed to do a standup 180 on flatland!

it was a great day.

followed by burritos, frisbee, hot dogs, and fire = EXCELENT!

Mine was awesome! I put a new set of wheels and bearings, Rainskates Tsunamis 85A and Bones Reds, on my Gravity 46" Tsunami Carve and skated for about an hour and a half, but it barely felt like 30 minutes went by...

Wednesday, I went out with a buddy and skated for five hours in 33 degree celcius heat. I had a major headache later at the local skate shops bbq for Paskapoo. Thursday, I decided to go out for 20 minutes just to practise a few shuvits (getting close!) and ended up skating for five hours styling my dancing. I set up my Kracked Skulls as well and rather enjoyed the ride!
Today! I went down to Paskapoo after summer school and was corner marshalling for a few hours for the freeride run today. It was wicked since it was my first race that I've gone to! Race day starts tomorrow. I am so going to compete next year, or try to at least.

so went for a short cruise on over to my buds house. well i was going down a mild hill (15mph tops) and was like "hrmm... i could carve out my speed before i hit this intersection... or... I could get my steez on and speed check!"

so im busting some heelsides. and they feel good. im busting my toe sides and they feel good. so i decided to link them, heelside, toesdie, heelside, toeside, WASHOUT!

totally ate it going maybe, MAYBE 10mph... and my elbow is all torn up, dead skin hanging everywhere, blood dripping down my arm. i felt so noobish. worst wreck ive had for TWO years! at 10mph!!! arrrggghhh....

later made up for it hitting some hairpins going back wards at some local runs with my pals 2 hrs later. that was fun.

i just went to a park by my house to practice my cross stepping.

i get there and this little 6 year old kid is riding his big-wheel around while his mom is walking around the perimiter.

We ended up playing tag and i let him try out my board.

kids are cool, and tag is really fun!

well my average skate is always more then 2 hours long carving sliding just about anyhting i can do down a hill trying to perfect mannys on my vanguard anybody got any tips >

Skated to Trader Joes today. Just as I was skating in, I saw a 'no skating' sign that I hadn't noticed before. Been in through the area few times before, no one seemed to care. I kinda ran through my mind what kind of little talk I would give if anyone called me on it.

Totally different from expectation this time. Ran into a few kids riding various awkward transportation. One gave me a thumbs up and said 'that is a nice board!'. Inside, bought a few tasty things, checking out, I got all kinds of questions from the cashier. He was like, woah, 'what are those called? are they hard to ride? You can go that fast?' Even walked around to look at the trucks. I even pointed out the sign outside, and he was like, 'nah i bet they won't care'. Kinda wish it was a manager so it went somewhere.

Cruised home, grabbed a smoothie on the way, fun times.
