    Lightbulb Salom trucks for LDP?

I was wondering if a set of Tracker RTX and RTS trucks would be good for LDP?

It'll work but not as well as a bennet.
The range of movement of Bennetts are a brick ton larger then any other truck i've ever tried. Including Trackers rtx, Indy, Randal, Paris
    But they work.

I was wondering if it would be better if I invested some more money for some bennett 4.3(front) and Seismic 105 30*(back). I would need to get two 1/8in. spacers for the Seismic. To widen it by a whole 6.4mm.

Well it would cost about $38 for the Tracker setup and $54 fot the Bennett/Seismic setup. I was wondering if I should just buy Bennett/Seismic setup if it's going to be better. From what I have been reading it seems to be what I would end up upgrading too. I have never riden either setup so Im looking for some personal opinion to help me decide. Thanks for your help so far st3v13!

I'd definately preferr the bennets over the rtx
I don't really like the seismics though. Mostly b/c they sound like they're gonan break all the time. AND standard tools don't work on the Seismics.
    Why do you want 105mm?
A previoius post about my preference for LDP trucks:

There for for my standard LDP I have BEnet 5.0 and Grombiz 141mm?

It helps keep the speed high with more comfortably spaced strokes

For the Gbomb I have Bennet 6.0 and RAndal 150mm

It is easy to build speed but a little tougher to maintain speed b/c of the lack of leverage. So Since I can push it to speed easier b/c it low. I don't need narrow truck and this will allow even larger spaced strokes.

    For a possible SKogging deck I have Bennet 4.3 and RT-S 129mm

This is just b/c I want to be low as possible while preventing wheel bite

(note: my bennets have been modified by karrot. W/ spherical bearings in the hangers. GREATLY improves the ride but makes bushings feel much softer than before)

    Rear Truck:

I like the grombiz rear the best. I feel like it provides the most traction. The randal is really nice too. I feel like both those trucks ahve much superior traction over the Rt-S. And a Randal 125mm comes w/ a 42* baseplate and most places have them on sale.
Personally I'd recomment a RAndad 125mm w/ a Bennet 5.0 (but that is my PERSONAL suggestion -> probably not the best)
I think its important to consider the entire system.
Bigger wheels, smaller trucks, etc etc doesn't make a better board.
What board? what wheels? What kinda bushings? etc etc

I have a Gnome deck right now but I am gunna make a new deck soon. I have 75mm 3dm Avilas for wheels. And I have been rethinking the size of trucks. Now Im leaning towards a wider truck setup. Like a 5.0 and 130mm truck setup. Do you think this would be better for some medium hills and people salom?

I like the Grombiz too but its just too expensive for me right now. I may do a Randal setup. But my friend how hooks me up with them cheap is pissed at me. Plus Ive had huge problems with speed whobbles on R125. I dont want then R150s bcuz it makes my pump too wide. I have a huge problem of getting out of rhythm with wider trucks.

take from a man that has ridden almost all the more popular LDP setups out there.

5.0 bennet and rts 129. seismic truck backs are ok, but not worth the extra money and maintenance your going to need.

rtx will give you smaller faster pumps, that will tire you out fast, and doesnt allow you to flow with the pump.

i have 5.0s on all of mine. and i dont thikn ill ever change them again. and ive tried 6.0 , 5.0 , 4.3, all seismics, Cx trucks, indy mods, randalls 125s, rtx/s. and the 5.0 bennet 129 rts is the easiest to go all around in ( 4.3 106rts if you plan on going over hilly areas..)

    keep it simple.

    Seismic maintenance? What maintenance lol?

I like using seismic for back now, especially when you dialed them just right.

Speaking of which, i need to start doing LDP again...

I don't think seismics need maintenance but the ratteling sound that freaks me out and my phantom tool(which i carry around for long rides) can do nothing to tweak it.
I think the 5.0 is the best aswell
Only functional purpose of the 4.3 to me is if you wanna use 70mm wheels.
    And i only use 6.0 b/c the 5.0 bites on the g-bomb.
And i'd still prefer a randal rear over a rt-s

Ok so it seems that everyone is together with using a Bennett up front.

So now for the back truck.

I have never riden Seismics. But I have heard they r good back trucks. I hear they r really stable and help u level back out coming out of a pump. How hard r these to get dialed in?

I have riden a TON of Randals! So I know if i get them i could get the bushing setup right pretty quick. But I dont have the faith in the 125's stablity. Also how big of a dewedge would i have to put under it?

I have only riden the Tracker Fast tracks. Whick I thought suxd hella bad. But the RTS i have heard pretty good things about. But I keep hearing that ur gunna have to ungrade to a Seismic or Airflow. So how would I have to setup the RTS? Like which bushing combo and wedges? I weigh 128lbs.

Maybe Seismics aren't for everyone. They're my favorite rear truck for LDP, but I can see why people want to give up on them. You have to be willing to experiment with different hangers and springs if you really want to get it right and it's not as quick and easy as bushing trucks. It can get expensive if you like to tinker like I do. I have 105, 130, 130X, 155, 180 hangers and light green, yellow, red, medium green and purple springs. As for the noises, some tension is necessary. The springs can be switched or turned and lubricated. The sounds are different, but not an issue. Bushing trucks on cold days are much more annoying.

I started out with a Tracker RTS in back and it's fine, but I think a Randal with a downhill plate (or mega dewedged) is better if you want to stick to a bushing truck, but it'll shorten your wheelbase some.

    And for the front, Bennett.

Randals hold better traction then trackers though.

Alright.....from what im getting is that the RTS is a good truck for price. But for the same price you can get a R125, which is a better truck. And that for $6 more you can buy a Seismic which is a good truck. But it makes funny noises and takes a lot of work to get tuned in.

    How close am on this?

close enough. i think the randall 125 would only be really good if you had a 35* baseplate. the 42 will still turn too much
