Idk wtf happened but here is what I posted the first time:

Ok. So once again I find myself in the difficult process of looking for a new board. Right now I have an original custom 45, and despite my love for this board (and trucks ) I have found myself looking for other boards to add to my quiver. Before I bought my '45 I had a Kracked Skulls M1 and at the time was trying to learn how to dance. After I bought my '45 I gave up on the dancing because of the extremely sharp carves I could now do which threw off my balance quite a bit.

Also! I have started to fall in love with skogging. It has improved my balance so much! So now the question is: What board would be ideal for both?

Immediately I thought of LBL. And I have been considering the komodo and the OSD, but I have also been looking at the Fat Daddy from flexdex. Not sure really which way to go here so I thought I would ask for some advice

how much does the fat daddy weigh? I haven't seen one in person but it looks like a BIG HEAVY board that would give you a real workout skogging.

I designed the original Skogging deck
for Yandall.. He wanted a deck not too big, but
not a small deck... The Skoggin deck is
an entity into itself, that can be Skogged, danced,
pumped, carved, ridden like a beast..

I'm sorry, but dancing on a 35" deck is laughable. The wheelbase is 23.25" and my two shoes lined up are 25"! How am I supposed to dance on a board that short? How can I cross-step safely on a board that's twice as wide as my two shoes as close as possible (9.6"?) I know you're only trying to promote your product, but dancing on a board below 40" is damn near impossible. Unless you came up with a special repertoire of dance moves that worked around the size of the board.

The Skogging deck was never meant to be a
    "proper" dancer..
    But it can be done...
Adam Colton can dance on a Humu..
You can Skog on a medium sized board.
    You can dance on anything...
    It's all preference...

A board that size can be danced on. Not easily, but with some practise of course. People dance on their Ceviche's and that's even shorter, and a kicktail they have to watch out for.

seems to me you could skog on most boards. you can dance on a ceviche as well, I do, but its not the same game as with a longer board. so if you have any issues with longer dancing boards you don't have to get one but you will learn faster, be able to pull off more tricks, and imo look better on a bigger board. I've been in a board buying frenzy lately (my sig needs to be updated!), all LBL and Loaded, and I've gotten a chance to compare a few boards as far as their dancability.

Komodo- Probably the most versatile board I've got. Carves almost as tight and smooth as my dervish but allows for much more extensive dancing.

OSD- Best for what it claims to be, an Old School Dancer. Great for surf inspired moves, cross stepping, etc. Newer School tricks like manuals are not as easy as on the...

Loaded Dancer- Wow, the guys at loaded really put some thought into their boards. I'd say the loaded dancer is a perfect dancing shape. However, it is heavier than something like a Komodo and isn't nearly as versatile for other stuff like hard carving. You could probably pull off anything you could do on a Dancer (and more) on a Komodo it would just take more practice. I LOVE the dancer but its a Loaded and therefore its not exactly unique.

Dervish- What do I really need to say, long enough to dance somewhat comfortably but I got a flex 2 (which I like for carving) and I'd say get a flex 1 for dancing unless you weigh like 100 pounds.

Ceviche- A bit tough to dance properly on for me but you can still do it. I certainly didn't buy it for dancing but I like to so I throw a bit of cautious cross-stepping in while I'm cruisin it.

I was wondering if there would be any disadvantages for skogging on a larger board vs. a smaller board. My personal preference would be a board over 40 inches. I am much comfortable on a larger board than I am a smaller one. Especially dancing. Even though I can cross step on a 35 inch board, I don't feel too comfortable doing it. Weight of the board is not an issue, my Custom '45 is pretty heavy but I don't mind lugging it around. I really do like the Yandall board, but I wish it was just a little bit longer. Say maybe 40 or 45 inches.

My GTCPLDP deck would fit the bill..
And it could be done in a longer version
    if anyone was ever interested..
In fact a 42" version of my LDP shape
would be a great cruiser.. Hmmm....
    That gives me an idea.....
