Default What makes a good LDP deck?

topic: I noticed that all the LDP decks seem way different. I've never ridden a LDP deck, so I have no idea what makes a good one. The ones I am looking at are the roe mermaid, galac ldp, and lbl walkabout.

Should the board be stiff? flexy? snappy? have hips like the mermaid? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Pretty much...
For me, the widest part of the deck should be where
the inner most front truck holes are.
The part of the board where your rear foot will be
should be slightly narrower than the widest point,
    but still be wide.
Wheelbase, anything over 26" is viable for LDP.
Anything over about 30", doesn't really work too well,
but it depends on the board. But past 30", the amount of effort
required to maintain a good pump is significantly higher.
The 27-29" range is really the zone...
But it can all vary depending on you, your board/setup..
    And of course your preference...
Flex is important, it's better to have a stiffer board than
a wet noodle with no return.. For me a slight amount
of snappy responsive flex is all it takes.. Just
a little bit of flex to dampen the ride and just enough
to react to the pressure of the pumps...
I prefer stiffer more responsive decks, I'm not a huge
fan of super flexy noodle trampoline flex...
    (Preference).
Trucks, wedging, wheels are a whole other topic for LDP.

if i was you i would make one myself, that way you can choose the wood which effects the flex, plus you can design it to a shape that you like.

i'd use the dimm press method, makes things so easy
