Re: Help:) flex of bustin strike? ldp?
It sounds like you already know what you want but personally I don't like much flex in a LDP or slalom for similar reasons. I was on loaded's nuts for about a year but after experimenting with stiffer decks and I felt like I could pump them alot harder. Most others I know have seemed to shift away from flexier boards as they experimented with more setups, but maybe just a local thing. I think flex can absorb or dampen the power you get outta your pumps. If your looking for a fast LDP i'd suggest none or only a little flex and try to find a deck low to the ground. My fastest LDP'er is an Evo with teeny shock pads, bear 1052's wedged to the board shape, tracker stim bushing in the back.. then I just have to alter it a little for a great DH. Not the choice trucks for LDP but this board manages to pump way harder than any of my cruiser shaped decks. Can't do #### for tricks on it tho. a dervish is great, but not really the best at any single discipline. just be careful on the amount of flex you go for. A little is good for freestyle tricks and dancing and what not, but too much flex will make the deck real springy feeling when and tends to bounce the rider off when landing tricks and dh'ing. If you're just looking for speed from your pumps, than don't get a flex-monster. The strike has almost no flex and is close to the ground, but seems short on foot space for taller guys.
