just go to auto zone or pep boys and get a tub or tube of wheel bearing grease, it works fine for me, but they should also have lithium just make sure not to get it in a spray can, that stuff squeaks like crazy
so i was in desperate need of some smaller wheels for my pod so i went out and found some random wheels that i've never heard of and bought them lol. they are called Oj III Hot Juice....
60mm 79a. they seem alright so far, but its really easy to slide on my pod now, and its kinda scary lol, if i pump to hard i risk going into a weird stand up slide. later on today ( once i wake up ) im going to go for a lonnnng session and see if i can master these little wheels.
oj's were some old 70's wheels, i didnt know they still made them

This thread is about the company- Original Skateboards, not like "original" setups

Anyway, a various times, I have had it set up with both brackets on top, both on the bottom, and one up / one down. It doesn't really seem to change the flex much or anything like that, there's never been a major issue with it. There are a few things somebody thinking about trying it might care about:
a) Railbite/belly drag. Depends on your setup- wheel size, riser, flex, etc. Same problems you can run into with dropthrough, dropdeck, or any other kind of lowrider setup.
b) Your foot bumps into or rides on the bracket sometimes. This is only a problem if you think it is; I found that it helped to get my foot placement sorted out without looking down, just like the toe-stops the slalom guys use. Foot traction wasn't an issue when I stood on 'em, either.
c) The brackets leave little marks on the top of the deck once they've been mounted there. I don't care, but if you like your decks to look showroom fresh, then you might.
Give it a try, it's an easy way to dial your ride height (or level a deck, in your case), without messing about with risers.
Thanks for the info Barf. Will try it out. I keep my back foot close to the middle of the deck so foot placement should not be a problem, and none of my decks look showroom fresh for long. Will check for wheel bite, but I run my back trucks very tight, so probably no problem.
