    Default Flatland longboard setup plz!

Im looking to buy a longboard so if someone would help me find out what that would be good i've been thinking about the path 37 with the S8 original trucks and lime retrozigzags but im not sure if that would be my best option. im 6'1 and 160 pounds. i am new to long boarding but i have been practicing on a regular skateboard. im willing to spend around $200 and im lookin for a board that would be good for mainly flatland but also i'd like the ability to go down decent hills. ty

The Fibreflex Pintail 38" would be a wicked choice!!
Though I would suggest 68-74mm wheels in the flavor of your choice.
Trucks - Paris or Randal Rll 150mm
    Bones Reds bearings.

Dude check out the new Landy boards like the Dually and the Switch. They are both really nice for flatland riding. Dropped platforms and bi-directional. Awesome. Also work great for downhill.

The decks each are only $118 USD, and the Dually is really long 43" long and really wide 9.75" which is great for you being 6'1". You could make that a complete for $200 my brotha.

    my flatland setup:

    28" Single kick from Toys R Us - $25

    Bennett 62mm/84a (or 81a)'s - $42

The Path is great board. I've ridden one with both S8s and S6s. I think the board really comes alive with S6s and once you get your technique down should be a great pumper.

When it comes to flatland setups...
An LDP setup is going to be hard to beat..
A dedicated carving board is pretty much
    useless on flats...

The GBomb Cambiar's fun on both flats and slopes, and could be a decent pumper and a dedicated carver by the flick of a lever.

Check out subsonic, lot's of great flat land boards. I have the Raven, couldn't be happier, looking at the rip 40 or buckshot next. they have some very interesting stuff on the future section.
Also check out skatefurther.com and pavedwave.com lots of good stuff for the flat land and distance skating.

the idea of pumping or even cruising a demonseed on 85mm vents on flats borders on ridiculous. the only way this is a good flatland setup is if your intention is to go in a straight line pushing long distances. this is almost the exact opposite of what you should probably get.

i'd say LY carbon mummy or EW superglider + bennett 6.0 (or indy169 or randal150) + 70mm wheels for a super fun and versatile setup.
