Need new all around board, any ideas?
So my homemade board snapped yesterday, and im using that as my excuse to buy a real board. Im looking for a great all around board with these characteristics:
- 40-44 inches long
- 9+ inches wide
- relatively stiff to rock solid
- concave
- can fit 75mm wheels with no wheel bite
- good for sliding, DH, crusing, carving
- under $150 for the deck
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

What trucks do you plan to use?
The Pressure Drop RD-42 has generous concave and would serve you well.

The 180lb limit is for the drop through due to the cut outs, No worries with the top mount.

Re: Need new all around board, any ideas?
Someone is going to say get an EVO, but don't listen. Don't get me wrong, I own one, but it isn't really an "all-around" board IMO. Yes, it fits all of your above requirements, and yes, Landyachtz's site says it is "all around", but it is under the downhill section for a reason.

Re: Need new all around board, any ideas?
i kno nobody but actually people who have it like it but...bistin strike? its 38" and wheel bite is in your mind with this board. and it can still be used as a mediumly sized hill DH board, but i wouldnt recomend it if your goin 40+
Turn on. Tune in. Drop out.

Re: Need new all around board, any ideas?
My deck is a motion, model nicotino. I've ridden it for about 2 weeks now and love it. Goes all around nicely. I got it mounted with randals 180, abec 7, and nineballs race formula 76 mm 78a. I've done some pretty long distances with it. The only thing is that it's a bit high of the ground for pushing with your foot all the time, but it was not that much of a big problem. You should check out motion longboards.

ya i was lookin into that for a while but i feel like it would be too flexy, im looking for something more dh and freeride oriented.

Re: Need new all around board, any ideas?
A few inches too long and a bit flexy, but I'd say and recommend the GBomb Cambiar. It is very well suited for many types of riding and is a comfy board to cruise on and push. I believe there are 2 flex options now as well. There's some subtle concave, enough to lock you in and feel the edges and bouncy enough to take up the vibrations of the sidewalk or street.
