for commuting, I reccoment a drop though truck mount, larger wheels, some Paris 180 or Randal 180 for carving and stability, any bearings will do fine.
you could go with that scarab top mount, but for supreme comfort, I would go with ^ ^
questions? shoot a PM my way ill help yah out

Re: noob here
sigh, ive changed my mind again :P sorry.
i want a board that is like, hm. idk how to explain it. if you look at it head on and its eye level, it looks like this:
----_________----
yes, noob drawing, but its the only way i can explain it.
i was looking at this: GRAVITY SKATEBOARDS | MINI-CARVE 3, but i cant tell if it's like that or not! also is there a term for this kind of board?

That looks like a drop deck I guess. Buy a Kracked Skulls board, they are really cheap and really nice to ride. Much better than an S9 for like the same price. Unless you have lots of money to spend, then get a Dervish or something I guess. And get BigZigs FTW.

Re: noob here
I think that you're thinking of a dropped deck, and they do look pretty damn sick.
Check the landyachtz site: the dually, switch, spud, chinook, evo, and DH race are all dropped. have a look around, see what you like.

Re: noob here
You are either talking a flat deck versus concave or a topmount versus drop deck.

Re: noob here
Is that picture from the side of the board or front? Its either a drop deck, if thats a side profile, or or a concave deck if your looking from the front/back.

Re: noob here
I'd go for the larger wheels personally. once you develop a strong enough kick you'll really benefit from em.

it's more about technique than anything. bigger wheels are harder to push up to speed, but roll longer and roll over things better, and you can reach higher speeds on them (larger diameter = lower rpm/mph). I'm a 75mm guy myself, since at 6' 170 with some long legs it's not bad at all.
