Re: Evo
yeah it would work. are you into sliding and such?
the EVO can definitely handle slides without a doubt, but for something a little more versatile, maybe a Rayne Nemesis?
check it out:
Rayne Longboards: Nemesis - Boards | Canada's Premiere Longboard Manufacturer
this will go fast, and do great in free ride since it is a symmetrical shape!!!

Re: Evo
Also the LY switch is sick. Great for stand ups and is symetrical. More drop than a nemesis. A little closer to the evo in a symetrical shape.

so would I, but these two will be a little bit easier for bank 180's and such because of their symmetrical design. If your not planning on doing/learning those, your not freeriding.(IMO)

Re: Evo
i vote either the nemesis or switch! both AWSOME symmetrical boards. I own the nemesis and its an amazing board for any type of riding! highly recommend it! goodluck choosing man

Re: Evo
I definitely wouldnt suggest any dropped platform deck for any kind of park riding. You will end up just scraping your board everytime you go into the ramp. Maybe a dropthrough would be more suitable since it would have more ground clearnce and such. LY makes the drop speed which would be good for DH and cruising and could atleast ride in the park.

Re: Evo
just a suggestion. why dont you buy a Popsicle or a bigger one like the Rayne ajent if you going to be riding around the skatepark. I mean EVO's are great, but its really not what you want for freeriding Like I said, EVOs are becoming a fashion statement. You call me crazy now but just wait, in September and October everyones gonna have one.
and ill be saying "CALLED IT!!!"

he doesent mean dropping int a bowl, he means drop through truck mounting, I agree with this otherweise your gonna **** up that EVO. There are no hills were you live? if your getting an EVO, try some downhill, just wear the proper safety gear.

i was going to comment on how immature that statement was, but then I saw you were 14. but still, grow up kid. Ditch the skatepark and hit the hills!!!

I no what drop through trucks are i was just explaining that i only carve up the walls. there are hills were i live, i would also commute on this board and i rarely go to sk8 park. i was wondering if this board was fine for carving up banks and stuff like that. nd if i was worryed about scratching the bottom id put rails on it
