Cross stepping

Hos small of a board can u cross step? Bcuz I have been having a hella hard time cross stepping my Merlin.

Well the Merlin (if you're talking about Legendary's) is 30" so yeah it must be quite hard to cross-step it comfortably.

I personally wouldn't go with anything under 37", but that's just a matter of preferences and skills I guess.

The HUMU thing is the smallest I've seen. The smallest I have cross stepped is the 27" Legendary Gnome. Learn on something at least 40" first.

Are you learning how to cross-step? Or have you learned how to cross-step already?

I'd imagine learning would be more difficult on something less than 40", but you can do it, more practice. If you've learned the move already, then translating on to shorter boards just takes practice also.

I learned on a 46", then got a 26" Humu and found I could cross-step that also.

I can cross step. Im just not super good at it. I have been practicing. But still cant get it. Imma give it some more time. But the platform on my Merlin is only 17". If my foot goes over the wheel cuts outs in a carve I get bite. Which is what keeps happening.

just practise, i cant crosstep my mini with 15'' wheelbase. Just learn to cross step pretty good on a longer board.

I had seen bits and pieces of it, but never the whole flick. Any idea
where that was shot at? Probably around Santa Monica?

The skaters in Skater Dater were all members of the the Imperial Skateboard Club from Torrance. It was all shot in Redondo, Palos Verdes, and San Pedro.

I learned how to cross step on a surfboard..Then transfered it over to a pro-40 and now I'm starting to pull them off on my 23" glass grenade. It just takes practice.

i just learned how to cross-step (yaaaaaaaaaay) on a 30" board, so you can learn it on the gnome if you have some smaller feet than i do or if you have better balance to put your feet closer together
