Default Recomended cruising and carving set-up?

Hey all, I'm thinking about Apex 37 with s8's and 81a gumballs or the Custom 45 with s10's and any 78a or 81a wheels. Any other board that is a good long-distance traveller/cruiser is fair game. Thanks for your time!

GTCPLDP? pumping is so addicting on flats.

What I've noticed about the apex trucks is that its a love/hate relationship. I'd suggest riding them before buying if you have a friend with an Apex board. They tend to be a bit stiff when locked in the center, but once you lean, you will turn ALOT.

The wheels are great, but consider a possible softer duro if your just going to be crusing/carving. If you are considering doing some sliding, stick with what you've got.

How's the asphalt in your area? I prefer softer wheels for carving and cruising. I currently run 77a/75mm pink Big Zigs and 75a/70mm Tunnel Tarantulas.

The Apex is so low to the ground it's great for pumping. the Custom 45 is just an absolute carve machine. I personally like the feel of the Custom 45 better, but for a commuter board I'd go with the Apex just because it's shorter and so much lighter.
