Boards similar to the loaded dancer.
Me and my friend are upgrading boards after 2 years on a dervish. We don't really want to get "twin" boards again. So i just am asking if there are any boards are just as good as the dancer, around the same price.
Also on the loaded website I saw that when you scrolled over the dancer it was black. I saw it clear in a video and brown on the website. Is there anyway to choose from these colors?
Thanks in advanced!

Re: Boards similar to the loaded dancer.
I have a Longboard Larry ADam's old school dancer, it is basically the same measurements and a lot cheaper. There is also the legendary platypus, same thing same price almost. There are a lot of small companies that have dancers for cheap just look around if you want one of those.
The reason for the variation in color on the loaded dancer is because they put a layer of linen i think it is in it so its random the color. it could be dark or light you cant choose.
Why would i name my board? That's like naming your kid. Ridiculous.
also I'm riding those reflex venom bushings so suck my left nut

Re: Boards similar to the loaded dancer.
they stopped the random colors, the only available color is brown. as for a dancer, roggs is nice, the legendary platypus is cool too, and so is the lbl komodo which is more of the cross section between dervish and dancer range
edit: the loaded dancers pretty stiff so if you guys weigh any less than 200lbs i recommend a flex 2

Re: Boards similar to the loaded dancer.
Ok but would i be being stupid getting a different board for this reason or are these boards 100% just as good as the dancer?

Re: Boards similar to the loaded dancer.
They are 100% as good and possibly 50% cheaper

Re: Boards similar to the loaded dancer.
a lot of people here love the roggs dancer, and with a roggs finish, no one will even notice your friend on his loaded.

I agree with this 100%...If I had to do it all over again, I'd have bought the Roggs, and left the Loaded for the next guy...Not to say that the Loaded Dancer isn't a nice deck, but the Roggs is a much better board...Buy one...Heck, buy a Jr. Dancer too, for $15. more...
Loaded Dancer - $250.
Roggs Dancer - $135.
Roggs Jr. Dancer - $130

Re: Boards similar to the loaded dancer.
I like the legendary platypus but the nose and tail look a little short. Is there anyway to just get a plain bottom on it though?
The roggs looks nice too. The adams old school looks amazing as well.

Re: Boards similar to the loaded dancer.
Not to confuse you even more, but I have a Subsonic Corsair from the "Future" section of their website and I haven't touched my OSD since it arrived. Mine is 48" with kicks front and rear. Tons o' fun!
Also, Scratch makes a Big Lazy that might make a good dancer, though I haven't ridden one.
What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about?

Re: Boards similar to the loaded dancer.
by the way, there are no different colors for the dancer anymore.
I emailed Adam about this and he said that the epoxy that they use stains the dancer brown so all of them are brown.
