The motion nicotino is the NUTS, but will not have very much flex under your weight I think. Maybe check the motion bigfish? Same shape, more flex.

The nicotino is my faveourite 'do everything' board. I sold both my loaded pintail and dervish after buying it cos I stopped riding them. Doesn't turn amazingly tight though as the wheelbase is quite long.

Out of that selection, the vanguard will probably do the tightest carves for you.

Timeline? If you're not wedded to the long wheelbases.

I say the Bigfish, too - for flex and variable wheelbase. The Nicotino is also incredible - not too much flex, but it really rips. I was one of the only ones to be able to buy the Bigfish Aircore Version 2 - wow, now that is a deck!!!!! I hope that Vinz brings it back into production.

I have a Bigfish set up with Randals and Lime BigZigs. I need to tweak out the bushings still, but it is a really great ride. I'm still learning to work with the flex in it... I've dug too hard into a carve a few times and had it propel me back out, which is unsettling when you aren't expecting it. Tons of fun.

My other board is a Bustin' Spliff set up with 184mm Tracker Darts. The turning radius is much lower, but it's more sketchy at speed, so I prefer the Bigfish for hard carving because I can handle higher speeds if I need to stop carving due to vehicles, etc.

id like to throw in the GBomb Cambiar as a consideration,
very unique board, much tweakability, and the way mine is set up i can do U turns with ease, a happy amount of flex, easy to push, adequate for pumping, and with the right wheels (i LOVE my black ops avillas) you can slam your weight into the board so hard and rarely if ever think about losing grip,

in my opion this is the most agressive board ive ever been on, some times i leave it at home if i know im going to have any more then 3 drinks cause its dangerous as hell if you arent 100%

Throwing down the Flexdex line for all your flexy carving needs! These guys know what they are doing! I actually just ran my boards over last night to show a bunch of people at the bar that my boards are that flexible and won't break.

Check out their site, and read up. they have some AWESOME boards, especially for someone that only weighs what you do.

Agressive Carving? Real tight turns? Sidewalk surfing?

Original Apex 37 or Custom 35. This kind of skating is exactly what they're designed for, and they kick ass. Nothing else will carve as hard or turn as tight.

And what you think about NS norad? Looks like decent board with combo of camber and concave. How flexy is it?

This thread should be stickied. There are a lot of better boards out there for flexy responsive carving that are better than anything from Loaded.

Here's a quote I found on the Insect Skateboards site about the big bug. I guess that settles it for this board?

    No ultra-aggressive carving here

While I would agree, Originals are the best for aggressive tight carves I had to sell mine as there is no wheel that I have tried that would grip enough to handle the sharp turning diveyness of these trucks. Pink big zigs, avilas, and other assorted wheels did not work. Only thing that came close were Abec11 Grippins in 75a. These worked until the lips got worn in and it started to slip unless I was going pretty slow.

My current favorite is Indy 215s with double barrel bushings and Grippins.

I've very good luck with the grip of my 75a blue Tunnel Tarantulas. Also one of my friends has the 73a 3dm Avilas and I can't imagine you'd have a problem with them.

That's the point! The trucks should let you carve as hard as your skills and other equipment will let you. The trucks shouldn't be limiting you.

Using that train of thought, why should ANY equipment be the limiting factor?

Stay with insect and get a mosquito
At the top of a hill at a very rapid speed there's only one place to go.
At the top of a hill at a very high speed there's nowhere to go but down.

Heh. I suppose we're getting off topic here, but I guess that's the goal: To get a setup that lets you ride to the best of your ability. Then your abilities get better, and you find out what the weak link in your setup is, and you upgrade...

I agree trucks would'nt limit you but the wrong bushings will.
