about to do my first long distance run

Its not too crazy but about 20 miles its pretty damn far for a solo trip. I dont know how its gunna be but im crossing 4 towns to do it.

cool! i love long distance cruising personally.

make sure you stretch before hand, take along something to keep you hydrated and a sandwhich or energy bars for some food. other than that push with both legs. you wont get tired as fast.

the longest ive ever pushed was about 7-10 miles to get to a skateshop that had my wheels in stock.

might I suggest not doing it all at once, and taking a break halfway through for some grubb?

well its technically 22.4 miles. Im riding to a friends house to skate then skating all the way back. (11.2 miles each way). So I will have a break but that break will be skating lol

Just do it. Unless it's a mountain pass or Alpha's Missouri swamp, you won't even notice 20 miles once you get rolling. Have fun!

word. you should see if you can get ahold of a gps to see how much road you cover during your skate with the friend and the route added together. it'd be sweet to know how much you did.

or just memorize the routes you took and google map it.

Im a big Long distance person. as first under 18yr old to skate 100 miles in 24hrs. music is a great time killer. soon enough ur rolling along. and make sure ur deck is low.
the less effort to push the better

thats not that bad i push 18 to work every day each way. so i guess i do 36mi a day!

Yeah you'll be fine mate, 20 miles is EASY. At the 'Bath to Bristol' weekend there was a guy who did it (18 miles) on a street board, another guy who did it and had only been skating a week, lots of people turned around and went back again! And this is all in the RAIN!

there are guys who do 200+ miles in one day. if i only had a good route to take... my highest marked distance was 28 miles. it was easy but it sucked. i must have waited at 50 crosswalks and had to walk about a mile through some grass because traffic was too heavy to ride on the road when the sidewalks ran out...

i wish i had a good route or a destination. i live 2.2 miles to the nearest paved road... damn i miss North Georgia!
