Which Carving Trucks for a timeline?

So far i've been ridding around on my timeline with bear 852's, Bones reds and some monsterhawgs 76mm 84a. I am trying to build a super turny carving board, i want to learn to slide on this board. This is not a rig i built for the board but what i stole off my Hellcat, I am planning to use these wheels and bearings but i am currently considering 4 different trucks for it.

#1: Revenge trucks, the only ones i've tried, i enjoy them thus far.

#2: Gullwing Sidewinder

#3: Original Trucks (200mm)

#4: Sesmic with softest springs.

bennett 6.0s with a cone/barrel reflex bushing combo are an awesome, fun, pumpy (is that a word?) and slidy truck. personally i hate sidewinders, in my minimal experience with originals, my mind is blown, however they are made in china which is a bit of a drawback. revenge, idk about them, never rode them

I've ridden everything on your list except the Sidewinders, and the Bennetts that Rosewood suggested, too.

If you're looking for a purpose-built carving machine, and if you're judging on pure performance, (IMO) Originals win every time. They have the most lean, the most turn, the most predictable feel. Revenge are a close second in those departments. People will try to tell you that Revenge are cool because you can mount them and not get wheelbite, but what you never hear is that the reason it works is that, in addition to the tabs that limit turn, they're insanely tall. If you tweak your riser height, you can get a lower setup on that Timeline with Originals and still be 100% wheelbite-proof. Revenge do have an edge when it comes to maintenance- Originals need to be babied and Revenge are pretty much set-it-and-forget-it. Revenge can also be had for a significantly lower price.

I have found Originals to be more stable at slightly higher speeds than Revenge, although I can't recommend either for speeds above 30mph. If you're gonna be riding faster than that, you should be looking at the Bennetts, Seismics, or just some much softer bushings for your Bears.

Yeah the revenge seem like they'll be the simplest, i'm still pretty new to riding but i enjoy the turni-ness of timeline, yeah i won't really be breaking much higher speeds than what i can push for the time being.

If you're suggest Indy 149 or 169 hybrids, you might as well go with Bennett 6.0s with a custom bushing combo.

Go for the Bennetts, they're so much fun. Originals probably carve the most out of the trucks that you mentioned, but they're too much for me and it feels like i'm standing on a small really tippy line as compared to standing on a board, I just hate the feeling. Its a preference, thats all.

bennet 6.0s are the s&$% on boards that size.

ive spent a good about of time on originals/revenges/indys/sidewinders. for a board the size bennets perform much better imo.

revenges seem good on big long boards like hamboards etc.
originals are good if you barely have any hills and want to have fun on flat land, or just want to awkwardly slide out when trying to carve.
sidewinders are somewhat useless unless you want to be high off the gorund and have a ton of lean.
and indys are just like a bennet that is lower and doesn't turn as much. i imagine the hybrids are similar to bennets.


bennets are a great all around truck, i have them set up with lemon/lime barrels on a 36" board with a kicktail and 25" (similar to the timeline i believe). its great, you can start pumping from almost a stand still, great for pedestrian slalom on campus, shredding driveways, and is surprisingly stable at speed.

plus being able to fit 3 bushings in each truck makes for fun times, before the reflex's i had a combination of randal ruby reds/khiro oranges/venom oranges in each truck
