    Default Ldtt?

tic-tac-ing has the same concept as pumping right? so how come there is no such thing as
    long distance tic-tac-ing?

which one is more is easy to get tired pumping or tic-tac-ing?

the two are similar. not the same. long distance tic tac ing would be a pain in the a$$.
if you look at the way a person tic tacs, essentailly, the front of the board moves very quickly while the rear stays somewhat stationary as a point to drive off of. pumping is similar but requires far less exaggerated movement, more subtle (but powerful weight shifts in the core), and is WAY more efficient and less tiring.

i would rater pump a few miles than try to tic tac it. also tic tacing wouldn't be enough to propel you long enough, especially with obstacles in your way.

I'm not good at explaining think...i can say its the opposite of pumping
pumping you use front wheel to gyrate but tic tacing you use the back wheel to move forward by "kicking" (thats what i think it is)...im sorry this doesnt help much but ill show a video

how do you put video in post?

I will stand by my statement if any of you are criticizing me.

A LOT of LDP and slalom people drive off the rear foot when they pump. and to clarify, what I meant by similar is only referring to the way the board moves underfoot. the front moves rapidly in its turn sequence while the rear remains more or less in the same place.

while that guy in that video was awesome at tic tacing, it would still suck to try to do that for miles on end with all sorts of debris and cracks and s**t in the way.

agree to disagree, i still think they're reminiscent of each other. but pumping, like i said, is way more efficient when done right.

also i think trying to tic tac a 40in board with big wheels and heavier trucks would also suck.

in other words, long distance tic tac = wrong

you drive from the front foot for LDP, trust me i know from a lot of experience. you may be able to pump with your back foot, but youll never get the power out of the thrust. theres a reason LDP decks are wide over the front truck and not so the back.

plsu i want to see someone keep up with a LDP by tictaking lol. i would give them props if they could even go faster then 8 mph.

Tic tacking is totally gay, so is early grabs and carving pools. Oh wait.

There were these two little groms at the Southern Fried Cone Fest taking the HS course on their jank street boards and they would just tic tac around every cone. It was pretty funny.

Back in the '70s I think tic-tac-ing was the stepping stone that helped me learn how to pump. I'd hate to have to do it for a long distances, but I think it's possible to do a mile in under six minutes.
