    Default Original Hybrid

How do you guys feel about the hybrid 35. Looks like a sweet board with the kicktail.

I had one, I dug it. It was super slashy carvey with Bennetts but was a little too high for me. Definitely a cool board.

I love mine; pumps forever, turns hard, slides, carves all kinds of fun. It's a really good board for flatter stuff. I also like it a lot for city/sidewalk surfing. Gives me some quickness and sharp turning to dodge pedestrians and get around corners.

I don't use the tail much, but it is definitely useful, and the rear truck turning it gives you is pretty fun.

did you just buy the stock board or did you change the trucks from 150mm to 200mm. Or the stock kryptonics 65mm wheels. I dont know anything about the wheels or there ratings. Im trying to read more about these thngs.

i would buy whatever they reccomend
and on the wheel lets say it says "65mm 78a" the 65mm is how tall it is in millimeters and the 78a is how hard it is, the larger the "a" number the harder it is

I got a Hybrid with S8 trucks, and pink Retro Big Zigs (75mm, 77a). Very grippy setup until you break in the wheels (that's a process where you sort wear down the finish on the wheel to make it slide more).

I can't imagine it any other way, it's already really turny and can fit 75mm wheels. They say it can go to 85mm I think but that would be in a round lipped wheel. Lip on a wheel refers to the edge, square lipped means the whole wheel is flat on the ground and round or radiused means the wheel has rounded edges, which contribute to easier sliding.

I think the S10s would be overkill, their trucks will take getting used to regardless. I'm honestly really happy with my setup so I recommend it.

I'm not too skilled at giving info on longboarding. I've not been into it long enough to have fluency with explanation, but I hope I'm helping.

The Hybrid carves amazingly with the original S8 trucks, and slides like a dream. also you can pump very well on flatland. DO NOT try and bomb any hills on original trucks, if you get hills that are steep carve down them. Best flatland board that I've been on. I highly suggest it.

I've been thinking, maybe Original purposely has kryptonics stock? I mean they're slow wheels and on Original trucks you definitely don't wanna be going too fast. Perhaps they do this to keep you at safer speeds?

I also have a krypto original stock theory.
Since the drift/break is so smooth on them it wont high side people who take a turn too fast.
I rode an apex 37 on lime zig zags and stock kryptos you could carve deeper and not have to worry aboput chopiness on the kryps. Nothing an experienced rider wouldnt be able to handle though.

I think I am going to invest into a Hybrid 35 soon. I'll buy it all stock and switch the krypto wheels for some lemon retro freerides (83a) that I already own. You guys think that would be a good combo with the S6 trucks?

And just for clarification, the board has no flex to it..right? I heard people here on the 'fish say it's even stiffer than a Loaded Ceviche but I am not positive if that is actually true.

I already own a KrackedSkulls 43" M1 and a Rayne Nemesis so this board should make a nice addition to my quiver.

What's the flex of a derringer like? I assume they only come in one flex pattern
