flexdex rt 40 VS. never summer heist/descent
k so i have narrowed it down to three boards. never summer heist, never summer descent, and flexdex rt 40. kinda prefer top mount so either the heist or rt 40 but i dont really have a problem with the drop mounting unless it takes away a huge amount of leverage (never ridden a drop mount before). i would be using it for carving some pretty gnarly hills and the occasional steep canyon, that and just exploring the mountains outside my small city.
any advice appreciated.
thanks

Re: flexdex rt 40 VS. never summer heist/descent
The reduction of leverage that you fear is hardly noticeable in terms of carving. True, a topmount will be just as agile, but having ridden a Pro40 and a Dervish, I can tell you that they both felt essentially the same.
The Dervish, I have to say, was actually more enjoyable, mostly because it was lower and easier to push.
The only difference you're going to be seeing is in terms of grip. Topmounts = Grippier, while a Dropthrough = Driftier/slidier.
I would recommend the Heist (even over the Dervish), because of it's height advantage, and because the Pro40 weighs 10ish pounds deck alone.

Never Summer Flex = AWSOME
FlexDex Flex = Terrible
I ride a dervish, and I actually prefer the Never Summer Flex. They make some really nice boards.
