Comet Aluminium Deck ????

Hi guys been offered comet 41 inch alluminium deck...always loved comet boards but was wondering if anyones ever ridden on of these and how they respond...
are they stiff downhill machines or do they have a snappy responsive flex......
any info gratefully recieved....

Sorry i don't have any pics...description is 41 inch y 9 inch, aluminium composite (layers of aluminium on top and bottom) ....plain top , black stripe and flame graphic on bottom and similar shape to the voodoo...

Well, if Comet started making aluminum decks I guess that might solve all the snappage, crackage and delams I keep hearing about. (...and making me watch mine with a very careful eye)

I'm curious who is offering it, because it just doesn't sound like anything they've offered. They seem to like their hippie materials so they can turn their board back into paper when they're done.

made in the days before skate manufacturers went all p/c ...... on uk e/bay for 64 quid
i've always liked comet boards but never ridden anything aluminium hence question...still none the wiser...

Which is why i haven't bought an FSM, I woulda had one long ago if they used real glue

The FSM is fantastic, but if you are offput by whatever, the EW supermodel will make you happy.

They sold a AL sandwich'd board about 6-8 years ago. I've seen pics but never one one person.

Sounds like a Sims QuickSilver ..but longer. I can't imagine a sandwich lamination os Alum. and wood etc.. that won't flex..a lot

OT, what was the deal with the Powel\/Sims Quicksilver? Wasn't it made by Powell? and also sold as a Sims or the other way round? Really wanted one of those with Bones wheels back in the day...............
