    Default 09 dervish flex change

hey people, im looking to get an 09 dervish

it says that the new keyhole cutouts for the trucks make the 09 dervish stiffer. It says on the website that it is half a flex stiffer. Has anyone actually tried the 09 dervish? and how does it compare to the old flex? thank you! I weigh 165

I'm pretty certain those keyhole drop slots were done last year(ish). It's still the same Dervish. Flex 2 if you like flex alot, flex 1 if not so much. I'm 155lbs. I've ridden a broken-in flex 2 myself. After a year of longboarding and evaluating what I like, I'd get a flex 1 if I were getting a Dervish.

I never rode the old one but I got a derv a few weeks ago and now that its broken in I can say its pretty stiff, I did a hippie jump the other day about... 4 feet maybe landed well but more towards the middle with both feet and I didn't even come close to bottoming out..
    I weigh 200 lbs...

    that was a flex 1

note, the nose and tail have A LOT of flex, but that doesn;t matter much when you talk overall flex I suppose

I own a 09 Dervish flex 1, and there is not much difference. I would go with what you were originally thinking.

Many people claim the Dervish sags over time. I have an 09 Dervish. It's pretty much the best ride out of all the boards I have ridden. I live in FL though. Lot's of flat land.
