Question Ladera Respect Roots For Newbie???

Hi, Would a Ladera Respect Roots be good for me? I'm 5'10", weigh about 175, and am athletic, but don't have much longboarding experience. I'm looking for something to cruise around campus and found a really good deal on this longboard. Its a 9.25" x 38" pintail and is set up with Randal 180's and 70mm Abec 11 70's Flashback wheels. Would this be okay for getting around campus in so. cal (its a fairly flat campus)...Thanks

    Welcome to the fish!

The Roots is an excellent choice!

It is a manageable size and has a good amount of foot room. It has some flex which makes for a nice cruising setup and the 180mm trucks along with the flashies will make for a nice ride.

I own the Ripper (stiffer version) and am very happy with the quality of Ladera decks.
