Default What you think of this pumping set up?

Hi. I was thinking of building a pumping deck and after looking around I want something small to mess around with like a slolam deck size ( 32 inches or so) and I have looked at several decks and I saw this deck ROGERS-BROS RB32 and was woundering what you guys think of it as been used for pumping if set up with Bennet upfront and RTS in the back and appropriate wedge dewedge?

There's nothing wrong with that, but I'd prefer a wider nose, a bit more width in general and a slightly longer wheelbase. I know you want something small, but I think I'd prefer something like this that doesn't have the full length of an LDP deck: Sk8kings: Super Sale Item!! LONGBOARD - CHRIS YANDALL PRO DECK - 35" x 9.75"

that makes sence but after looking at the sk8kings deck I was considering getting this one
Sk8kings: AXE ULTIMATE SERIES - AXE III - CARBON FIBER DECK

Its short yet not too short...and the price tag seems to be decent but do I really need a carbon fiber deck? Im 200lb so I guess it would help. and since Im broke and would like to save money do you think running randal 180 with flipped o tang in heats and appropriate wedging would work? I can pump on those right now on a drop through deck...or should I save and buy their complete? even though I do like to mess with different set ups. I would rather build my own set up. Would a khiro wedge kit be a good buy? because then I could get a LDPish deck for under 150$ (100$ for deck 30$ for wedges and hardware...what bolts should I get or just go to home depo and buy them there? plus shipping) and then as I go along pick up the trucks and replace the wheels as I go.

I looked at the Axe complete and it uses a Tracker in front. I'd highly recommend sticking with the Bennett up front, because it's so great at surfing/pumping. Wedge kits are always helpful, especially if you have an interest in LDP. You can get your hardware at HD or Ace, but I always try to get stainless.

Yes, don't bother with reverse kingpin trucks. Go with the Bennett front. Do go ahead and wedge at least 13 degrees and 18 if you are comfortable with the twitchiness. You going with 5.0's or 4.0's.

BTW, sounds like you're wanting a shorter pumper. For good long distance efficiency, as Stocago said, consider a deck with a longer WB (like 29") and a nice fat front. My preferences are about 10" width for the front foot, 29.5" WB, Bennett 5.0 front with 18 degrees wedging, and 75 mm grippy wheels.

Thats exactly what I want a shorter pumper I dont really plan on pumping 2-5 miles non stop but maybe half a mile or a mile at a time max. I want maybe a 35 inch deck. with maybe a 25 max wheel base but seemingly ( I looked at galac and they look like great decks but I dont have 150 to spend just on a deck...) and since Im 200 lbs Im afraid getting a regular wood deck would end up failing so thats why im looking at shorter slolam decks with fiberglass...what are other good pumping decks or companies that make them? I dont have money yet but once I do I will want to order asap so Im trying to figure it out right now.

Thats exactly what I want a shorter pumper I dont really plan on pumping 2-5 miles non stop but maybe half a mile or a mile at a time max So I figure a small deck would be fun since I already have a good long drop through deck. but anyway now that I found fullbag retialer I think i will get eather a Fullbag GS ( or death or glory) or the LTD-SL or the Ricard Luis SL (I just love how that deck looks) but most likely the GS ( I dont like how the death or glory looks) and it will let me pick eather a long or short wheel base and seems likea good allround deck for now...
    SLALOM DECKS

So the setup Im thinking of is
    Fullbag GS 100$
    5.0 Bennet 28$
    129mm tracker RT-S 19$
Venom bushings (93a on bottom and 85a on top my current set up and I really like it or should I use differnt bushings?) 12-14$
    Khiro angle wedge kit 30$
    nuts and bolts (10$ max)
Otang Inheats (80a) and Swiss 6balls (already have)
About 200$ in the end. What you think of this set up?

I've been pumping my All-Star around, and I have some pretty basic wedging going on (2 khiro angled risers front and back)-- If cost is a concern at all maybe it would be worth looking into a wider array of bushing instead of a wedge kit? From personal experience dialing in my bushings took a while, so I was thankful to have a variety to get it justtttt riiiiight
