    Default hmm.... does this still count as a cross step?

    hey iwas tryin to cross step on my strike today and i didnt really have enough room so when i take the first step, i do a shuffle back so i can ride off regular. does this count as a crossstep or should it be 2 clean moves?

    Ha I do something similar. I've been told by many a derv rider that it doesn't count. The strike is impossible to dance on in my opinion. Not really what it is for anyway.

    just get your feet closer together and move back BEFORE you do the cross step, take really small steps then even on a small platform like a strike you can fit in a cross step, even if it counts, it doesn't look smooth shuffling, and the point of dancing, particularly the cross step, is to look smooth.

    haha yeah.... i find that its easier to do on my stike than some of my other boards, the strike makes everything easy though! . i gotta practice man....the shuffle does look incredibly unstylish the only thing is im 240 with 12 1/2 feet lol. i also have trouble balancing on my left foot (im goofy)

    I've learned to walk the plank, cross step, and peterpan on my schlongboard and I'm pretty sure it's about 35". It's just a LOT more precise and takes a lot more work to make it look fluid. Closer steps, more concentratioin.
