    Default Building a better Dervish

I want to get into dancing a little bit, doing that "Loaded" style of riding. I'm planning on building my own board and I'd like some input. The Dervish seems a little slim, are there any other features that will make it easier to do tricks?

I've built boards before, and I'm working with my friend who makes snowboards, wakeboards and surfboards, so the sky is pretty much the limit.

Maybe a bit more durable. The nose seems to get thrashed quite easily.

The nose could be a little wider (squarer), i think this would help w/ manuals and the such

A little less flex than a Dervish. If you plan on dropping it through, you might want to extend the nose/tail past the baseplate just a tad.

If you changed the design then it wouldn't be a better Dervish lol. The Dervish is what it is. Love it or leave it. There are other companies that build boards intended for similar types of riding style like the BC Eel and the Gravity Kalai. They each have their own take on it and that doesn't make one "Better" than the other, just different. If you are set on getting that type of board, the best thing you can do is get one, ride it for a while to test it out and then build a board that has features YOU would have changed about it. Again, remember this doesn't make it better. Just makes it more suited to you.

I'd suggest contemporary, it really impresses the ladies. However pop lock and wave is the most fun type of dance I have come across.

Hey guess what? I made a silly typo that I could care less about on and interwebz forum. But you'RE still an idiot and that likely stems into YOUR real life if you have one....

This was my reply, which you stated I made from my "High Horse" hahahah.. You idiot... Let's examine that for a second. Where is this reply condescending? Where is this reply not helpful? Did I also suggest he try a Dervish and take into consideration what HE would have changed about it for his new build? Yeah I think I did you idiot. I also gave a little advice about the use of the word "better" since it's all relative to personal preference. So in conclusion.... You're an idiot.

No he didn't, that's what makes it so funny. And a typo is a typing mistaek. Misspelling "you're" is not a slip of the fingers, it's a lack of intelligence.
Funny how he called you an idiot though

to you as a person who doesn't really know what is going on here and only seeing what is in this post and replying to it. You call it a lack of intelligence but I am 100% sure I have accomplished more in my 34 years of unintelligent life than you could even fathom in yours. Let alone that you came in this thread for no other reason but to talk ####, like your girlfriend up there.

this is a very negative thread. lol.

I second making it wider, And maybe have the nose/tail bigger and curve up alittle bit not to much though. The moray from BC seems like a great board but, on the side veiw the curve up seems like a wall. Don't get me wrong the board looks fun as hell to ride. Thats just what i would change about it.

    42' long
9' to 9.5 wide. (play with it and see what you like the most.)
I personaly like the flex that the dervish has. ( and ive rode the flex 3 )

but at the same time find a way to make it more durable. have fun
