Re: Gravity boards
I ride roger mihalko's old blue whale 39'' from back in the day. Now it's beat and flatter than a blind date but still the most delicious boneless this side of your mom... the new ones are too damn flexy for my liking - i guess i like it stiff if you dig...

Poolside 36"
Indy 169's
Risers
Slide A's
I want some softer wheels for cruising and cracking ollies. The slide a's don't do so well on streets by me but I do love the shape of that deck and it's nice and poppy for ollies.
Hey anyone with a carve 39, is it fairly easy to ollie this deck?
Better shred than dead!

Freeride classic thanes
& 2 retired Bertlemann 33's now serving as wall hangers in my studio. Tax return will most likely buy new Bertlemann & Minicarve.

Re: Gravity boards
i love my carve 39, it's become my go to slide board. It's set up with indy's and no skoolz for some soft wheel bank slides and general thrashing around. I just put some slide a's on it, however, and forget about it, it's the perfect slide board for me. I also have a sergio yuppie, that i also love but, being a bigger guy, i like having a little more board under my feet, than the yuppie provides. If i ever broke my carve 39, i would buy another one.

Yeah you do, Fu's and Street G's really suck, you'd be amazed how much better the current Gravity wheels are.

This is the best all around BE setup ever.
I had a hyper carve that broke a while back. I'm probably going to buy a mini carve at some point in time, or maybe another hyper.

Rode this exact set-up (except for the bushings) for a while and I think you are correct. I also enjoyed 65mm krypto classics once they were broken in.

once you get the foot placement sorted out the BE ollies surprisingly well for a board that size.

Re: Gravity boards
Yeah its coming along. I can legitimate ollies, just not high. Once this rain clears up I'll have more time for practicing.

I had a setup just like that except I was running NoSkoolz. Great ride, too bad it was just a little too narrow for my feet...

yeah, ditto. For me it was mainly the deep concave combined with the width (Size 12s with flat feet ). I have the older ps36 that is only 9", but the concave is mellower and its comfy.
