haha, i hear ya man. they're pretty hard....but you have until may to do them.

hang 10 nose manuals are weird...sometimes your board wobbles out of control behind you because its so long and flexy.

manuals are easier on boards with a kicktail, no doubt. Shortboards are built like that to be funcional on street skating tricks, and manuals are a huge part of skateboarding.
longer boards, i found, are harder to manual on. it might be the weight. But i guess if you can manual you can do it on any board. The board shouldn't be the reason why you cant nose manual.
Other things that shouldn't affect your ability to manual:
Bearings, wheels, trucks, bushings, washers, weight of your wallet or the color of your outfit. The only thing you should watch out for is the amount of smug you produce when talking about how much better specific boards are compared to sector 9's or other "noob" boards.

    Sorry if i offended anyone

I think some of us might find a use for a "Injuries sustained while practicing Loaded Challenges" thread.

    Could be interesting.

So I have decided to use a 2x4 to do all of the challenges just to show and prove that what type of equipment u use should not determine ur skill level or ability to do any trick. For everyone that is worried about their board not being able to nose manual get over it u can make any board do a nose manual. Thats right, i said it, any board it just depends on how much time and effort u want to put into learning an awesome new trick. Good luck to everyone doing the challenges and I hope that everyone eventually learns the infamous nose manual.

I was out today for a while and finally spent some time on nose manuals. Could get one space about 1/5 times, and the record is 1.5 spaces (2 spaces for regular manuals). It's not a trick that'll come overnight, and I'm not close to getting the 3 spaces since I'll want to do it fairly consistent before attempting to film, but I'm not worried about having it by May.

I've been practicing on a street deck, but I actually find it easier on a huge dancer. The big board just feels more stable and "squishy" rather than fast and responsive. The weight keeps it gently swaying in the air, whereas with a short board all of the balancing is so instantaneous. Board preference is all personal, but I feel that if I can get it on the short board then that'll transfer to other styles of boards the easiest.

i agree lee, the big board is just easier. there is more counterweight which smoothes your body movements out.

i was out doing normal manuals on the humu (cross-training) and i can do 3 spaces on it... just gotta flip 'er around now

i also agree about the bigger boards. i practiced on my sector 9 46 inch for like 2 hours and started to get the hang of it and then couldnt do it at all on my shortboard.

Seems like quite a few of you are further on this than I am...I have many many weeks left though so nothing to get discouraged about. We're all in this together and we should all be able to complete the 10.

If it starts getting close to the mark then I'll have to try different decks I suppose...but as for now I'll try to keep at it with the street board and see how it goes. I just hate the sound of those 98A wheels scratching the ground with street bearings and trick trucks...

    What's up guys..

Haven't been a round.. just catchin up on the happenins. So what's this loaded challenge idea? Is it just bragging rights or is someone offerin up a deck or something?

All I have to do is send someone some footage of nosemanualing three parkin spaces? Any requirements on board length (i got a 32"er and 60"er I could prolly do it on). Are variations allowed (ie. 1footed hang5 nosemanual)?

Where can I see some rules cause this sounds like fun .
