Re: The Loaded Challenge Thread
Dude that sucks. I took a couple diggers like that but only 1 embedded pebble that I managed to get out. Wear some gloves the next few times you're out at least! Hang 10's can be sketch like that, you can get your feet tripped up real easy.
As for my progress...still not so good. I can do 1.5 every once in a while, but yeah. Guess it's only been 3 days now for me, so I'll get it by the deadline for sure, but it's still a frustrating trick.

Re: The Loaded Challenge Thread
I'm getting a little better, 10-15 feet is getting more consistent, which isn't that good, but considering that on monday I could only pop it up for less than a second, it's good progress.
Just wondering: how fast are you guys trying this trick to actually hurt yourselves? I'm doing it at a relatively low speed, just fast enough that if I do fall I can catch myself by putting my back foot out and stepping off with my front foot. Maybe I'm just being a wimp and going slow...

Re: The Loaded Challenge Thread
Yeah i'm going slow, a bit faster than a walking pace i'd say. not fast enough to make 3 spaces but fast enough to make 1.5 or 2 if i could keep it balanced that long
i havent ridden in a few days because its just downpouring 24 hours a day right now. lots of time though..

Re: The Loaded Challenge Thread
so what do you think the next challenge is, a kickflip or an oldschool kickflip? i hope just a regular kickflip, cause oldschool kickflips are hard, IMO.

Re: The Loaded Challenge Thread
i think it will be a step off kick flip.

Re: The Loaded Challenge Thread
if it's a step off flip then i'll be a happy man indeed. but i'm leaning more towards an oldschool kickflip.....which i can't do...

Re: The Loaded Challenge Thread
step offs would be a snap. but id think it'd be an oldschool, because the hardest tricks are first, and step offs are nothing to learn.

Re: The Loaded Challenge Thread
so it's official; old school kickflip!
i've totally got this one in the bag, but i'm pretty psyched on next weeks trick too. i'm thinking a 360 piroette

Re: The Loaded Challenge Thread
Between this and the nose manual I'm really going to have to practice. I wouldn't be worried about a 360, I've almost nailed them before. But almost isn't good enough.

Re: The Loaded Challenge Thread
I'll be chuffed if it's 360's - it'll probably be the only one I'll successfully complete. Used to be able to string about a dozen together 25 years back...wonder if it'll come back to me! LOL!

Re: The Loaded Challenge Thread
360s scare me. Really anything that involves a lot of spinning. I get disoriented so fast, and it freaks the crap outta me. On a positive note, my nose manual seems to be improving, however not at the most rapid pace.

Re: The Loaded Challenge Thread
they do indeed. however i've decided i'm not going to rush out and film every trick as soon as i get it. i already know i've got the discount in the bag, so i want to set my sights on the best style challenge! the nose manual might very well be the last thing i get on film, simply so i can have even more time to get it styled and dialed
