Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in here as I recently got one of these boards.

I'm running RII-180s, abec 11 70s Flashbacks 78a 70mm, Khiro aluminum 88a (blue) insert bushings. I'm 6'2" 175lbs, currently trucks are set to longest wheelbase

This board is way flexy, I tried a small downhill last night and got a little wobble, not unmanageable, but more than I expected after looking through these forums.

I'm not using risers, and I don't think it's possible to get wheelbite with 180s, I'd definitely use them if I was running 150s though.

With the current set up, the ride is super soft and carvy. And it's almost too soft for me. I'd like a little more snap back coming out of the carve, as of right now I think if I pushed hard enough into a turn I'd roll right off. Probably going to flip the rear hanger and pull in the front truck a notch and see how that goes. Maybe play with the rear bushing set up too.

All in all, it's a good carvy board, maybe you can bomb on it a bit if you're light, but if you're 175lbs or over I would think twice if you were expecting to bomb with this.

Got the board yesterday, at last!

Mounted Force C7's (flipper rear hanger and yellow Khiro bushings) both in the forward setting on the board, a pair of Flux risers (that i already had, white front red rear) 75 mm 80a trimmed (8mm) Avila's and industrial sealed SKF bearings (precious gift from a good freind with the right connections, these baby's cost like 65 USD a piece....)

Took it out yesterday evening had to really adjust to the flex, didn't really know what to think.
Got up this morning and went out with both boards and after an hour or so started to get used to the flex, I would have liked it a bit stiffer but hey, I need to lose 20lbs anyway, who knows I might "grow" into the board. The set up just about brought what I was looking for, a slightly shorter and wider wheelbase, a lower deck hight, a more agile and turny board and, it looks amazing, bit like a rat rod with the dull green wheels, hahaha
Must say that I love the Avila's, unbelievable grip compared to the Fly's om my other board

On the downside.... The C7's look and ride great but the axles are worse than on my Randalls!

Anyway, thanks to everybody for the input here on this topic and to the reviewers in the gear section of this site! I'll post a pic later, going out to get to know the board better first!

You need to get off this bent axle kick, i'm around 220, and i ride hard, alot, everyday if possible, i often carve so hard that i get highsided, whatever i like it. Anyway, i've used the same pair of Randal RII 180's for 2 years and the axles are fine. Its true, some randals have problems, but i'm really tired of alot of people automatically dismissing Randals because of a few cases they read on the fish. Randals are great trucks...period. Nonetheless, i'm glad to hear your happy with your setup, enjoy it, thats what longboarding is all about, having fun! Cheers!

    A) RII 180's with 83mm flywheels

I have these now but as i'm giving my current deck to a friend who wrecked his, maybe time for a change in set up so he can keep the board complete.

    or

    B) Holeys with 85mm speedvents (or 83mm flywheels)

I'm a big guy, 230lbs and generally use the board for serious carving an lite DH.
The G&S is coming in this week so, please, help me out here.

Also, what durometer wheels would you advise, the fly's are 81a

Thanks in advance for any thoughts you might have on the matter.
I skate a 44' pintale as my main board (and its great)

    I am like you, i am 240lbs,

i use 5 mm shockpads, RII 180's, Landyachtz Hawgs 77mm 78a, and Bones Swiss precisions.

The truck are mounted on the outer holes , This makes a whole lotta difference for the chubby and lovin it crew!,

On this set up i have managed a 42mph downhill speed (67.2 kph) on this setup before it stats to wobble.
