The last two days have been absolutely wonderful.

Yesterday, I skated on OSU campus in Corvallis from about 1:00 until 6:00 just testing out small hills, skating some parking garages, mainly dancing and boardwalking all day trying to solidify my basics.

Today, I went 6.5 miles today and cruised around for a few hours mainly just boardwalking and stuff. It feels good getting all that time in, though.

Oh yeah, and while I was in Corvallis, I gave a homeless guy some pizza and made his day as well as mine.

the past weekend i went around my neighborhood. when i got my new avenger trucks on saturday, it made carving so much easier.

kinda stinks because my S9 is super heavy and isnt the dh sliding type board, so im having the hardest time trying to learn, as well as learning flatland tricks.
darn lips throw me off balance.

if i were to rate it out of 10, id give it an overall 8 for the past 3 days.

I had an awesome day riding with the crew two days ago, we hit one of the few straight hills over here. I took my old school and slide decks and creative sliding. No more rail grabs. After that we went to this watertank on a hill with a steep snakey road down, the challenge was to get down without getting off your board, quite some board control needed. We hit a last spot and worked on speed checks and drifting corners. I let a 15 year old crew member drive my car, he was stoked, so all in all, good fun.

Took my brand new Humu to class. Everything went well except for me sketching out going down a hill b/c I still don't know what kinda turns it can handle. But on the way back to my dorm, a friend of mine asked me to "show him what I got." Well I did... then hit a pot hole while carving... and I think you see were this is going. I hit the asphalt in front of all my friends. lol overall a good day

Red face Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?

Was generally crusing the carparks and sidewalks, practicing my cross stepping and switch moves having a good time, chilling... When BAM I trip over my own feet! Board goes sailing away, I land heavily on my ankle tucked under my whole bodyweight and now I'm out of action for a couple of weeks I recon... Oh well, at least it's not broken!

Well let's see . yesterday i went cruisin with my buddy around her neighborhood, goin down hills and around bends..the whole day had been great, learned how to cross step.(i was excited! learned my first trick.) When i said to my self "wow that stick up ahead is mighty squiggly" but didnt think to miss it. i noticed there wasnt a bump when i ran over it so naturally i looked back..
Only to find i had run over a baby snake and ripped its spinal cord out.
    ):
I sat that and watched it wiggle and struggle for a while then picked it up and put it near the stream, hoping it would live!
this wouldnt have been so bad except snakes are high up on my favorite animal list.

Rode 3 miles to my friends house ^.^ extremly windy.. bombed THE biggest hill of my lifetime! and i bombed it from the very top to the very bottom. no slides, footbreaks, nothing. and i was confident! but at the bottom a huge scary garbage truck went by me and scared the living crap out of me. oh and later that day i had my friend drive behind me while i bombed down a hill and they said i was almost going 40! so now im wondering how fast i was going down some of the bigger hills ive bombed before.. idk how accurate that is though oh and it was on my FSM.

well the riding today was pretty sick.. i was riding all day long and no crashes ^.^ wish more people around here longboarded. i showed my friends the road rash on my back and now theyre scared to come longboarding lol

Today was nice, just some low action commuting, nothing major. Got to ride around a little, almost beefed it in a parking lot going over a fat pothole, but managed not to. And then it started raining. ****. It better not rain the whole week, I have skating to do.

well i went into split mode this morning on my way to class.
you know, when ur riding a mini that you havent ridden in a
month and the first time you get on it ur back foot misses the
board and you go into split mode.

so anyway, i re-opened a scab on my knee. it's like a 2 inch diameter wound now.

but besides that, the rest of my day went really well. im learning how
to skoggggggggg now and its going pretty good.

hate when that happens. last time i used my mini (grenade 23) the asphalt hit me pretty hard. sept my foot figures out how to stop a back wheel and things get real exciting, real fast.

preeeetty awesome... tried some more downhill stuff. It was such a nice day outside, after we'd done all the smaller hills we could think of, we went to the biggest hill in town... which I'd never tried before. I started off from like a quarter of the way down, then half way, and finally worked up to the entire hill. The biggest hill I've ever done... it was awesome!! But at the end, some guy in a car waved me over so I walked up, it was a cop. He told us we're not allowed on that hill again or he'd "find a way to give us a ticket". honestly... what the hell? we were being way too safe, looking out for cars, everything. is it honestly possible to charge someone just for longboarding?

that cop was such an ass, but i still feel awesome for doing that hill... totally didn't diminish the awesomeness of the day.

watch out for cops like this. they are in their environment when it comes to ****ing with people. you get a handful together, brainstorming on how to screw someone like a skateboarder and things can become pretty unethical really quick. all with boisterous bravado and laughter, on their part.

I skated to the bagel shop around the corner from my house, I cut through the back of this plaza with a loading bay to get there. On my way back a semi had just backed up while I was riding to exit the back/loading bay so I had no choice but to cruise under the semi. It was like Fast and the Furious, minus the fast.... and the furious. And plus a kid eating a bagel whilst skating, and a cranky tired obese semi driver.

Then later that day I did an ollie on that same s9 pintail and snapped it in two.... my first board...... gone. I cried and my mom felt bad so I'm getting a Landy Dropspeed! Woot Woot!

Started out good checking out the parking lot around my new office. Ended badly hanging toes in the cutout on my FSM, doing an weird version of the splits and twisting the stoke out of both knees.
