Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Crappy rainy day until about 1:30, then a one hour ride down the brand newly paved bike path working ONLY on cross-stepping. Now I feel like I can really do one right. And I got a teenage hipster in a brand new convertible to look at me funny and the girl sitting next to him to smile. Alternative transportation FTW!
Finders keepers, brah.

Springfield starting about 38th and Watermark going until Pioneer Parkway E is all repaved, I believe.
from: 35th and Watermark to: 1889 pioneer parkway E Springfield OR - Google Maps
Point A and point B are roughly your start and stop points. It's pretty nice BUT for some reason there seems to be a bunch of gravel on the path at certain points. :\

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
today i was just cruising at school on my longboard to my next class.
i go down a small slope, and have done it many times, but this time there is water where i turn right (note im goofy, so its heel side) and i try to avoid it but is too late....flew in the air a good 4 feet away from my board, i sprained my wrist BADLY....
i did a good job today no longboarding heavily for a few weeks. i can barely make a fist.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
a dry day!
was at my local steep short hill by myself for 1 1/2 hours just practicing some slides. fastest colemans ive done so far, probably 50 km/h on a pretty narrow road. love the adrenaline. also practiced speed checks, getting better at them. attacked the switch backside stand up 180 and failed a lot but eventually i got three in a row.
i really want to longboard right now. its too late though.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Finally the sky was left free of clouds long enough for most of the pavement to dry up.
So after a day of chores and job hunting I thought that throwing my new, shiny 215's on the old Sean Mallard. Wedged it in the back, put a 1/8 riser in the front and some gators on.
And just as everyone else who has tried the 215's for bombing I fell in love. I barely got 15minutes on them, but stand ups are still super easy even with the wedged back!
Can't wait to find out how it behaves in speeds over 20km/h =P

Not really from what I've seen. Whenever I go out to longboard around Springfield almost every day, I never see another longboarder, and I'm usually out at least an hour a day. Most times I see another person longboarding, it's my friend or it's somebody on campus between classes, nothing else really. There is a much bigger downhill group (facevsasphalt, to name one person on SF) then there is a dancing/boardwalking group (me), but still, not many people longboarding around here.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I went out today while the pavement was wet to try and get my colemans down. The wet pavement made breaking the wheels out easier but when the loaded spray grip on my board got wet my back foot kept slipping off the board. I managed to get a few good slides to start of but it got wetter as I tried more. I have managed to do a few before but I find it hard to get the board all the way around without stinkbugging.

My Route
Hit up another completely deserted bike path and on my way back home met a downhiller who just moved to Eugene and is looking for hills to bomb. He said he'll be checking out SF and the Eugene thread, so I'm sure there is enough of you to help him out.
Finders keepers, brah.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
crashed in the same exact spot i crashed about a month ago. whats the chances of this happening? dumb arse people letting their dog run loose and almost had to knock some sense into it with my scimi. was thinking about the dog and its tard owners when i went down. the rest of the skate was all good. the way back was a little dark which made it interesting watching for all the rocks and sticks that were hiding in the shadows. made it home in one piece. alright for a sunday skate (my sunday)

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I keep trying to go out for runs on some streets nearby but it's just too friggin cold outside. So I decided that I'd go anyways. Skating in 20 degree weather is not fun. I start bombin down and it was gettin late already, and about half way down a pot hole got a hold of me and I jacked the kingpin on my chargers. Poop
