Had a nice ride to class and back, although the lean in my superglider is getting more noticeable. I'm probably not gonna longboard much in the next few weekscause its finals and a bunch of other stuff. But, then I have winter break for 6 weeks! If I havent been able to at least somewhat learn cross-stepping by the end of those six weeks I am going to slit my wrists!

^^ what lean are you talking about Sk8r? Maybe bushing blowout that could be remedied in your upcoming package.

Mention wrists again and I'm gonna give you a wedgie so good, you won't have to floss for a week!

    Lol, no wedgie please!!

The lean is sometimes when I am pushing the board it starts to kind of lean to the outside. I dont think its how I'm pushing. It may be a bushing problem. But then again sometimes its noticeable sometims it isnt, lol its probably me.

Try a set of eliminators on the board side. That should make the deck more stable for pushing. You may want to use step softer bushing than you would normally use on the board side though. If you do go eliminators, keep in mind you need a washer behind it or it will lean like craaaazy (which maybe you want).

Well...today ..15 mins ago cop pulled me over on the mall, gave me a lecture on all the reasons I shouldn't be skating on the monument, and a firm warning that I be ticketed $50 and board confiscated. They should post a sign...

I think that's silly as long as there weren't a lot of people around and you weren't jumping on stuff. My work has an office in DC and I've always thought about bringing my board when I have to go down there for work, but I guess I shouldn't.

Bring it, there's a lot of places on the mall to skate, you just can't in the roped off area of the Jefferson Memorial etc... Also he mention not the area in front of the White House on Penn' Ave.

See to 98% of the population a skateboard is a skateboard. Like a skimboard is a skimboard..

This morning was 25 degrees on way to work, stiff after getting off the train, in a car with no heat this morning, still felt great to get the Spudy out to ride very lucky this year we aren't having rain daily here, love to ride the streets in the early morning when its just me and the tunes, hoping at lunch that the temp gets above freezing though. Taking the Gnome out on some new wheels (Eastside 70mm78a). still haven't found a wheel I like on it, but the experimentation is always fun.

Gravel sucks, doing sidewalk work all over my route lots of gravel, dirt, raise (1" to 2") sidewalk panels and always some broken glass near the liqour store. Longboard commutes always have somethign interesting, way to go sk8rgrl, sliding is still a mystry to me

I'm trying to get at least a 5 mile route a day to get my stamina up and to get a little exercise because I always feel better afterwards.

BONUS SUMMARY: Tiger claws are way easier than they look. It's just way harder to get them looking perfect...

Watch out for ice. I went out this morning around 9 and hit some black ice and busted my knee on the curb. It is soooo cold.

    it was weird.

i was taking a pumping lap around my neighborhood. and somehow my front foot
just slipped off of my board, and i flew off my board.

now i have 2 scraped knees, and a little scrape on my elbow.
besides that i had a good lap.

It was cold today in Denton, I still rode around campus a bit and had a blasty blast. Then rode with some friends and started learning stand up slides.
