Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Had a couple good rides. Took my 7 year old daughter riding. She butt boards on her Bomb Hills while I ride along on my Evo. We had a blast, and rode for about 2 hours on a freshly paved bike path around a pond. For day #2 the weather was great. 45 degrees, and sunny. I also put some Randal 42's on my Evo with some new bushings. It rides real nice. Low and fast. Made about a dozen runs down my local hill. Some bombing runs, and some speed carving runs. It was awesome.
Wrecking sucks.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
went for a ride with my friend im teaching to longboard (he use to short board).went to go skate the beach and maybe a park with awesome sidewalks. ended up skating 16 miles down the beach with some fun free ride stuff thrown in. broke my distance record by 6 miles! didt know he would be up to it, hell it was his idea to go for a longer skate haha. throw in some dank pizza and breakin in my hustler, thats a good time for sure. we took our time, ive done 5 miles in around 20 min. but it took us 3 hours including pizza time. but i didnt mind going slower cause he is still learning. now if you dont mind, im goin to club bed!

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Pretty chill day even though it was barely above freezing.
I convinced my dad to come along and watch me bomb* some hills nearby. I decided to try and do a tuck just to see what it was like. It amazed me how much more stable I felt. Along with the new bushings, it was a much nicer experience. I also decided to try a smaller, but steeper hill that I had almost eaten it on previously. This hill is quite small compared to the previouse one, but also much steeper. In addition there is a 90 degree turn right at the end which afterwards is flat, but then starts to go up another hill. This hill was much more exciting in my mind than the last one. I'm not sure how fast i was going, but I had enough momentum to carry me half way up the next hill. My only regret is that I don't have slide gloves to make the turn at the end easier.
Right before we got home i pulled my dad down a street that I knew had a slight incline and no traffic. I convinced him to try riding it. He was doing rather well until he crashed into a snow bank.
All and all, it was an hour well spent.
*I say bomb, but really it's just going down a hill at what I think is a fast speed.

The weather finally cleared up today, so I decided to go out and do some carving and slashing. I did my first successful standup slide today. I'm pretty stoked.

SDDRL #11 Outlaw!
RACE TODAY WAS AWESOME!!!
out of the 4 heats i was in i got:
3rd ( with Art ( another local rider) in 2nd passing me in the last few feet!)
1st ( i smoked everyone in this heat! i killed it!)
3rd ( Max Caps is too fast man... and Danny connor passed me at the end)
2nd ( dont remember who beat me... i just know that i couldnt catch up)
Then was the Nationality Race and the Crew cup:
I represented Mexico and got 2nd place ( out of a ton of people) only losing to Danny Connors at the very end...
And in the crew cup me being the only 619 member to race i got 4th out of a good 12 people. so we represented good. next time well take it.
overall i think i did really good, getting more confident and definitely more competitive. definitely taking a podium spot soon. lol

I must say a brisk ride to close the day after an hour and a half of yoga is amazing.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I tried out my new Orang Stimulus wheels today. The difference is way obvious.
Smoother ride and I feel like I have much more control than in my previous smaller wheels. Downside is that I feel a little slower now, in comparison, but it's not a big deal. I should go for higher hill-hunting now.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I might be able to finally ride properly today, I've had to go to school too early for a morning sesh and get home too late for an evening sesh (no good places near me are well enough lit.) Friday night, I think "you know what I'm gonna go for a drift, so what if it's 7 at night and nearly pitch black" so I go to my favourite hill. First ride, just kick the back out on a lovely heelside pre-drift, hit a tiny pothole and threw me into a roadside ditch along with board (which hit me in the leg and dead legged me). I had to hobble 20 mins to get home and see what happened to my knee (too poor for pads) and it truns out that the road rash was worse than I thought and now my whole left knee is totally skinned so I couldn't skate yesterday (which just happened to be the sunniest day so far this year) and then it rained overnight so now I'm just waiting fo rthe surface water to dry off.

Make every day count, it's a beautiful world out there, and it will all be over before you know it.

Consisted of pothole and puddle slalom, man the Spuddy was thrown a ton of water this AM, but in PDX this is as good as it gets this time of year. ShamWow's a good friend after these sessions.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
My GF suggested we ride to get brunch this morning. =) I had built her a Flex 4 Loaded Pintail with Indy Hybrids which she never got to ride before it got cold out. She rode the pintail and I rode the bustin cigar she bought me. We rode through some traffic and finally got to this great greek restaurant I've been wanting to try. The staff was very cool about letting us in with our longboards. We had a awesome brunch and then rode back home - It was great! We then took my new sector 9 OG cloud 9 with Indy 149 hybrids out for a spin after. =) Today was a great day with my GF and our longboards. =)

I wanna do the bomb this year too! I'm not going to try to place though. I ran it by my GF and she seems to want to do it also. =)

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Skated a good 20 miles with my friend, ate some choice birria (Mexican dish) and skated Dowtown/East LA whilst getting weird looks and stoke filled comments from just about everyone we passed by because our boards we so "big and fast." Pretty good day, pretty tired though.
