    really dope session today

me and 4 friends went skating in a gated community with perfect pavement and some nice mellow hills.
we me up with my dude Mike (Manofsnazz on SF)
we all gnared the stoke, bombing, crusing, sliding, whatever ... nice and chill
my dude will blasted down some crazy hill on his strike, probably hit 40+
mike is slide champ of the day, that dually with the stimulus' is sick

community police busted our asses because some old folks called them up and thought we were random riff raff ....some people are so ignorant...whatever
we peaced there and got burgers at some really cool place, i wish i knew the name of it.

then we found some more hills to skate once it got dark
did a few runs, just chill stuff except for will and will 2 racing down the biggest hill, haha, mad nice.
went back to my boys house and ripped a few bongs, and here i am now

tl;dr: dope sesh with me and 5 other longboarder homies

I did my usual run, but I had an agenda and it was fun. I drove away from town just so I could skate. I had to return some oil, 5 quarts, and go tanning and go find food. It's my first real run this year, so I thought I was sucking really, really bad, but it was just the oil. When I dropped it I got to ride in the allies, which I'm always afraid of because cops give tickets to skaters in the streets.

    Yup. That's it.

so i just started long boarding, been about a week now and had m 1st run in with the traffic....
i was cruising up my street about to start a long run up the beach when i looked behind me and noticed a shiny new M3 coming my way.
when it got close i moved out of the way and waved him through, he didnt do anything for a while so i slowed right down to make him pass, as he got close he put the window down n goes, "Good to see someone enjoying the day!" and drove off.
i was so shocked, i was expecting a few harsh words but those made my day!

also, started stomping shovits after that too!!

    its been a good one

    peace!

Had a pro day today. Got up at 6, rode a dervish to school with my friend. super cold. but still fun. then after school we rode back, i got some shorts and some water. then his friend came over, so he got the dervish i got to ride the sick ass komodo. then we cruised around from 2 30 to about 4 40. bombed a few little like 15-20 mph hills, nothing big. and after my 3rd day of skating, i got my shovit's down. so that made me happy. all in all. it was a day full of stoke.!

ridiculous skate sesh today. my buddy cam wakes me up at like 7am, he works at a bar so he never sleeps and about an hour after that the whole crew and i were mobbing up into cashmere, WA to annihilate some secret hill right off the highway. so we got there, it had some gnarly uphill corners, no joke. we skate it, i test out my new precisions on a sweeping, leg-tiring mid 30mph's road. sick!!

then we go back to wenatchee and eat some local burger. we sesh a gnarly corner across the river for an hour or so and we end the day with a relaxing in-town cruise. sick nasty awesome

Nice ride after work today - down the hill by my house, a little cruising in a parking lot - got down my first cross-steps which were easy once I figured out which way I needed to tilt the board. Cold outside but super fun.

Oh, also my first ride with my Otangs and Bones Swiss - a little rougher than my Krypto 76mms, but the bearings are FAST!

Spent an hour or two cruising around the town where my fiancee and I just bought a house. I'm really psyched to move there, it's a small town with nice roads and not too much traffic, and there's a couple paved trails right nearby, including one that runs from right by my house down to the main street, where there's a couple cafes and even a skateshop - although they mostly sell scooter stuff. I stopped in and chatted with the owner for a while, seemed like a cool dude.

After living somewhere that skating's not really convenient or feasible for the past year, I'm stoked to be moving somewhere I can skate all around town on the weekends. This is going to be an AWESOME summer.

Skating to my warmup hill yesterday, i hit a rock and my board went flying right in front of this SMOKIN hot chick. So she rolls down her window and im thinkin here it comes and she just says "I like your skateboard," and gives me a thumbs up, i kno she was just bein nice but that was cool. Then im headin up the hill and some dude in his driveway is on a longboard and we start talkin, and plan to go to the skate spot in an hour, which is cool cuz my friends were workin at the time. So I show up and hes got 2 friends with him, their all rockin some sick bustin boards. Shredding ensued, needless to say. Got some numbers and now I know more than just 2 locals who longboard! Day was full of stoke.

OO ya and today i went to skate some hill by my job on break, and learned how to bust out standup 180s goin downhill! I kno its stupidly easy but I couldnt do it b4 so I was happy

Hit my local "bunny hill" spot for an hour or so yesterday, it's nice little hill that's not steep at all so it's perfect for a shitty boarder like me to practice sliding on. I've only been boarding for a year or so and I don't get out very often (once a week if I'm lucky) and sliding is brand new to me so I'm starting by learning shut down slides.

I'm getting decent at throwing them on my heel side while grabbing the board between my feet with my left hand and dragging my right hand as far back behind me as I can (i skate goofy) but it's been slower going learning them toe side with both of my hands down and my body stretched out but I feel like I'm getting it.

My girl snapped a picture of me making a stupid face after a failed attempt because I was going too slow...

I got back to skating yesterday after about a week off due to my ankle being hurt. I skated for about 30 minutes just cruising and pumping around the neighborhoods near my house. It was great. It is amazing how much stress skating removes from me.

My ankle still feels pretty good today. It feels a little sore but no limp so I think I am going to skate again today.

Got my Dervish yesterday and after swapping over parts from one of my other boards, I took it out to an abandoned road outside of town a bit to check it out. I've never skated a board with that much flex before, so I was a bit leary of how it'd work out....loved it...immediately. I skated for about an hour then headed home and played with the trucks a bit. I need to swap out bushings, the one's in my randals from another board were just too stiff and I just couldn't find the sweetspot. Then about two hours later went out for a second run with a buddy and we worked on carving up a large parking lot at the boat launch...I slipped on a rock pumping and pulled a groin. I skated as much as I could for about another hour and headed home...in a bit of pain. I'm 38 years old and last night I had my first ever dream of skating. I got to skate my new board that I freakin love and is my immediate new favorite then had a dream about it...Stoked? I think so. Goin out again tonight...hoping my groin don't hurt to much to kick, but regardless, I'm sure it's gonna be fun.

Me and my buddy taught a friend how to ride so he could ride around campus with us. He got the basics down and my buddy lives in a nice long hilled area, so we took them out. We wanted to tape it but didn't have a video camera, but his dad ended up following us in his Firebird with a normal cam and shot a few videos and pics. On top of that, his dad was there to ride us back up! It was wicked sick! Had a blast and got some vids to fix up. Ran the track five times! It's supposed to rain Monday, but I hope we get some more in.

I was out trying to lean to manual and I kinda found out that this parking lot was weird, it was fine until i hit a small dip and the board flew out from under me, nothing bad tho just annoying. I had fun cruising around though.

had a nice time cruising around on the komodo. tomorrow were riding the all the way too school. which is quite a long ways. just to see what time we would have to leave. instead of driving to lowe's and going from their. all in all, its been a nice weekend of cruising around and practicing cross stepping.

I was out for a nice long solo ride on a bike path in the middle of nowhere, on my way to the beach. There was an awesome hill that i'd never skated before. It was going well, I was riding it in a surf-style sort of drop knee stance, and everything was great. What I couldn't see until too late, though, was a set of old train tracks running across the bottom of the hill. I didn't have time to stand up and foot brake, so I just hoped that I could make it over the tracks. But my wheel got stuck, I went flying, there was lots of blood.

Aaaaand now I look like this

I mean, at least my board looks pretty gnarly now; there are blood splatters all over it. And the bike path was soooo smooth, it was such a good ride except for the wipeout. I'm pretty sure it was worth it. Though now of course my parents are questioning allowing me to ride at all...

Got home ten minutes ago from a great ride on the bike path along the river here in Richland. No clouds, no wind and only about 10 other people out. Had some good ol' white stripes on the mp3 and just kinda pumped and cruised about 4 1/2 miles. My old man legs are burning a bit, but I don't care. I did however get cramps in my foot this morning for the first time ever...which is incredibly irritating and I hope it don't happen again. LOL. Regardless, great ride this morning and with the full moon, I think I'll hit it again tonight after dark. stoked brother stoked.
