Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I have practised nose manuals shuvits and piruettes.
The real thing was I took my homemade dancer for a test drive and all I can say is YEEEEHAAAA this thing is so sick. At first I was like, uh this thing is to big to slow and to heavy to shuvit and was kinda dissapointed. Like a minute later I was like OMG THIS IS THE BEST #### EVER! Dancing on it is so easy compared to a dervish, piruetts are chill because no matter what you do the board won't move. There is something special about shuviting a 61½ inch deck...

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
a 61 inch deck? Holy ####.
Anyways my bedroom session was cool. Not sure if it should be posted in the cruising and carving section, but I landed almost all my kickflips with one foot, and the same with varials.
As for my last cruising, longboarding trip, me and my friends rode our street setups around his neighbourhood with our trucks a little too loose. It was fun.

What trucks are you using? I just traded out the seismics for Independents and I like it WAY more!.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Put some new risers on my homemade 45" carver. I run Revenges on it, and realized the 1/4" risers make it way too high. Put some some soft 1/8" on there, it's awesome. Tomorrow I'm going to go and replace my very worn out Flashbacks with some new Lime Zigzags.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Woke up this morning and it was snowing outside.. Made me angry.
I hoped it would stop, so I could go back out and skate the next day if it melted/dried up, because when I got up there wasn't even an inch on the ground.
Well it hasn't stopped snowing yet, it started sticking on the streets sometime this afternoon, and now there's 2-3" out there, with 5-9" more expected.
I need a new idea for a sig.

Had a short cruise today that was pretty good, but not nearly good enough to make up for how horrible my day has been.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
my sesh ended in some nasty ass road rash (pics in general disc.). however my first relatively fast run was acheived (only in the thirties, but for me it was quick, not too experienced). i'd say i'm completely hooked now. looking into leathers to complement my fullface and gloves, looking forward to grabbing an evo or a kebbek soon.
-KS m1 46", R2 180s flipped pin swapped, abec 70mm flashbacks, mad max abec 5s, hopin to get some abec bushings soon. (i <3 this board)
-S9 off the wall, deck only as of now. hoping for indy 169s, zig zags, and reds soon.
-Evo deck, somewhere in the mail
-dervish - sold
-tactis white terror - blue crails - white jimz bushings - 78mm blast waves - bones swiss
-zealous felon

Reminds me, last night I had a run in with the cops when I was night boarding a couple neighborhoods away from my house. Told me I just got the cops called on me, lol. I'm pretty sure it was the guy that almost hit me when I stopped to turn my headlights/taillights on, haha

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
The fresh snow was finally about done melting off, so I was going to try and get out and ride today.
Low and behold, it's snowing again - and it supposed to snow all night and all day tomorrow.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Today was my first longboarding experience. In fact, my first skating experience. I picked it right up. I bombed some hills on an unused country road, and I hit route 46 in the middle of the day down hills. Some gnarly stoke.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
well today was my first long distance skate...18miles from my office to home...for the most part good except that I chose a shortcut that turned out to be a chip sealed road...almost 2 miles slow rough skating or walking...I'll skate the extra 1/4 mile from now on. Pumped along with a guy on a bike for 2 miles, passed a bunch of police and even crossed a state border all in all a nice run though more than what I was expecting. The only thing I will change other than my route will be adding a set of insoles to my Chuck's

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Today I made a nice little carve from a driveway to the sidewalk in front of stroller with a baby in it. I was about two inches in front of it and about 1 inch from going into a puddle.

I love it when that happens. or when you're in the city and some pedestrians block off the main part of the sidewalk and you have to divert at the last moment between a tree and the road where the kerb edge is only just wide enough for your wheels. except the possible alternative consequences are always a little scary
