So yesterday after some sweet hillbombing with my best buddy we met up with our friend Ali and went for some riding. After a couple runs we are just standing chatting when this guy in this white pedophile panel van rolls up and says "Want to switch?" and then reaches down into his truck and pulls out a longboard. We were all stoked after that and we invited him to come for a ride we hit our favorite hill like 4 more times with him and then we after talking for a while we brought him back and shared a J. It was a good day.

The other day a cop came and talked to us while we were screwing around on this little out of the way hill we found at the back of a neighborhood. The pavement near the bottom is pretty crappy, but it's a fun little hill. The cops in the area have a bad rep so I thought we were about to get booted. He rolls up...

Cop: Dang, you guys go pretty fast on those things, isn't that scary?
    Me: Eh, a little
Cop: Aren't you afraid of hitting rocks or anything? Seems like it would throw ya right off!
Me: Nah, these guys just roll right over them *points to wheels* it's sticks and storm drains you gotta worry about
Cop: I don't know, it would probably scare the hell outta me... I only clocked you guys doin' about 30 back there
Me: Really? Awesome. Didn't seem like that big of a hill
Cop: Haha, alright well you guys have a nice day and stay safe!

Coolest cop ever, I tried to get his name/badge number so I could write his superior a letter of commendation

    sounds like a great time!

I got out for a couple hours last night just doing some parking lot slalom and practicing riding and pushing switch (goofy). Finally able to do some decent sliding too even though I'm on 78a 9balls right now. Got some harder 70mm kryptos today but it's raining domestic animals so I'll have to wait for the water to dry up
long board? more like bong lord

only thing bad about daily runs are the cars that drive by so slow by you when your trying to land a trick and your just like go already... I wish I had a long nicely paved road in my backyard, no cars just longboards.

yesterday i went back from uniersity to my hometown. but because my hometown has no trainstation i had to travel from the next town to my hometown. normaly i would habve taken the bus, but for some reason the bus did not come. so i had to skate back the 20 kilometers. normaly this woul be not a problem but i had a really heavy bag an i had to ride on my mini. my mii is cool for short distance and in the city, but since yesterday i know long distances are not so funny to do with it. the result of the day i got a bad neck from the bag on my back and a blister on my foot cause i had to push the whole way cause i haven't managed to pump my mini yet. but it was a beautiful day and i had some fresh air at least.

and a blister on my feet couldn't stop me from doing a little tour on my big board today

One of the better days I've had in a while. Had the same cop yell at me and a few friends to get on the sidewalks but besides that it was all good. Overcast but still warm out. Roads were pretty clear and due to the semi-crappy weather nobody was really on the roads.

I rode around my campus at Rutgers University today on my new Landyachtz totem. I was speeding down some bike paths, and got filmed by a couple kids who were filming their skateboard tricks (Just some high school kids doing kickflips in a parking lot). Then I followed up the bike path to a steep curved drop that ended in a parking lot next to a dorm building. After a few times down the hill, I noticed a gray hyundai coupe with blacked out windows that kept circling the parking lot. The douche driving it decided to stop his car at the end of the path and go inside the building, blocking my way . I rode back up the hills and called it a day after about a mile and a half along the bike paths.

Btw, I'm new here. Been carousing for a few days looking around, and decided to post. I started longboarding last year on my neighbours Loaded Vanguard, and decided to get my own, so I opted for the landyachtz bamboo totem pintail for riding around campus. I like the feel of a sturdy board for riding around, and going fast

Got my first good ride in on my new Kebbek and almost have a 180 slide down, but fell a couple times in the process nothing big, just a cut knee.

I did the same thing, I read up every thread I could for many, many months
on here before becoming a member and posting. This site is a great place

Found some super smooth roads, practised pumping on my KS for a bit - made some progress.
    Went down some lesser hills.

    T'was fun.

Short dailly sesh. Trying some new stuff. Cross legged rolling on my old school. ridding with both feet on the nose or tail too. just different stuff that i don't know or haven't learned yet. begining to hang heels of the nosse too.
Really just waiting for my new roggs jr dancer to come in. In a week or two i should have some good stories about skating the around uwharrie mountain range(a smaller one, but mountains none the less) as i do some work in Albamarle NC.
"And if I was brave, I'd climb up to you on the mountain,
They led you to drink from their fountain spouting lies.
And I'd slay the horrible beast they commissioned
To steer me away from my mission to your eyes.
And I'd stand there, like a soldier, with my foot upon his chest,
With my grin spread, and my arms out, in my bloodstained Sunday's best,
And you'd hold me; I'd remind you who you are under their shell."

Very cool. I rode home from the beach today, maybe 6 miles, trying to pump as much as possible. Longest stretch was only a mile or so though. Still, the highlight of the day. 8)

Well, today was a pretty rough day. I wasn't even out to really ride, I needed to get to the campus library to pick up a couple things, and we had the best weather of the year so far, so I decided to take my board. I made it there fine, actually a great ride. I'm breaking in my new bearings, so the board is riding better and better, which is nice. On my way back from the library, though, that's when things got a bit hairy. I was heading home, and some stupid bitch in her Escalade cut me off and I had to bail, and when I tried to bail, my left foot landed back on the board, sending me straight to the ground with some roadrash, a sore ass, and a bruised ego. I'm really trying to keep my body from getting too badly hurt right now, because my new Vanguard is in the mail, and the second that gets here, I'm going for one helluva ride. Oh, well, I'll probably go out in a few hours and redeem the day for myself...

I got back on for the first time since I fell on Thursday and I have to say, I was scared shitless part of the time! We went down this fairly small hill that leads off to a steeper one and we usually stop on a flat between the two, when I went to footbrake on the flat I was positive I was gonna go flying again. Other than that the cruise was pretty great, just took it easy and chilled.
