Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Rockin down the boardwalk from Crystal Pier Pacific Beach to South Mission Beach Jetty getting into a switch stance dance kickin into high gear cruising at 12mph clips, passing bikers, joggers and being the usual public disturbance, annoyance and senior citizen nutcase playing it up switch stance on and off the board pushes all getting super exercise and most of all, site seeing! damn, spring break blondes were in high gear today!

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
ok, so i was riding down by the beach after 6 like always and i get stuck behind this old lady. she is walking in the middle of the path, so i say excuse me, im passing you and she looks back and says ok, so i go up to pass her and she jumps in front of my board and i turn sharp to the right which goes to a wooden garden thing, my board hits it and stops an i fly off and land right beside a rose bush. the lady got into her car and drove away.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Last night, I put bennets on the front and back of this arbor blunt, and rode. I felt just like I was snowboarding. It was an amazing feeling.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
took out the old school and ollied sewer covers for abut an hour. then rode my amazing new roggs and practiced my cross steps.
"And if I was brave, I'd climb up to you on the mountain,
They led you to drink from their fountain spouting lies.
And I'd slay the horrible beast they commissioned
To steer me away from my mission to your eyes.
And I'd stand there, like a soldier, with my foot upon his chest,
With my grin spread, and my arms out, in my bloodstained Sunday's best,
And you'd hold me; I'd remind you who you are under their shell."

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I had a nice night with a couple of friends, went to this short but nice hill with two curves, carved over and over from around 10 to 1 in the morning, tired, smelly and happy. a good night.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
i took my 32" airflow with skyhooks out for a spin today. started boarding at 3pm, took it down some hills with a friend, hopping up an down curbs with 180°s. so much fun to rip down a hill and bust out 180°s. learned how to 180° standup slide with that board as well today. got home at 6pm, other friend calls the second i come in and i agree to go skating again. learned to manual on the airflow and got a lot better at backside 180°s. finished skating at around 7:30pm. what an awesome today.
it looks like the weather is finally getting better, it has been raining and windy for at least 4 weeks straight.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Today I cracked my hip and sprained my wrist pumping in the rain. I forgot for an instant how hard and slippery my wheels really were and ate it big time. I'm gonna have to take a break from skating for a while now
CAUTION: I MAY SAY THINGS THAT WILL OFFEND YOU, DEAL WITH IT

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
i had about an hour and a half skate today, which was fun time fun. I put my old freebord slasher wheels (worn down to about 76mm) on my loaded pin, and boy, they are a greaaaat ride. they grip pretty well for their 80a duro, but they'll slide out like butter any time i want...made sure i could do the first two loaded challenges, and then just had a relaxing little cruise. good weather, couldnt have asked for a better day...

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
i don't know if it was cause i switched to grippins and flat washers on my randals, but i finall started locking into nose manuals. and the ride there was also bliss, steady downhill grade with a tailwind of about 15mph. I got to pump and sidewalk carve all the way to campus, a run i normally have to push. also because of the tailwind, i started teaching myself speed checks in a parking lot that normall only has enough grade to maintain your speed, not speed you up. i think next time, i'll bring my helmet and attempt some stand up 180's...exciting.
I love longboarding

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
me and a homeboy did some scoping out tonight to find some different spots here on staten island near our school. we found one good hill that produced some very fulfilling rides. the only sketchy part was having to blow through a traffic light and make it in time before we got the red light. the road was ridiculously wide and then we would turn off onto a side street that kept it going longer. it was really sick...can't wait to find some more spots.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
So I went our tonight around midnight, around my Campus, hitting the spots that i usually cant go on because of all people traffic. I go to school at RIT and if anyone has ever been here or visited you will know what I'm saying when I say that pretty much the whole campus is made out of bricks or it is made to look like bricks. So I learned a few things tonight.
Do Not bomb hills that are paved by bricks, it makes for a very bumpy ride and if you try and crave it makes for a nice trip in the air.
Besides that incident I was riding a good 5 or so miles maybe more, tried to get into some tennis courts to work on my pumping a little more intensely. When i pass by the schools med. center and almost get run over by a ambulance. After it speeds off i continue on my ride when i get near to my dorm, what do i see the ambulance. I didn't pay much mind and continued towards a small hill that i was going to hit as i get closer two medical SUV out of no where come flying at me from both sides. I kinda "deer in the headlights" it for a bit then got my ass outta the way. I decided to just chill and watch the events. After which i saw one of my buddies watching from a lounge and we talked. It turns out he was going running so i decided to join in but on my board. Which leads to lesson 2.
NEVER TRY AND RIDE ON A TRACK
It's no were near as bad as the bricks, but it sucks! The ride basically makes you feel like you have no bearings, you'll go a little bit, but thats it. So i ended up kicking a mile on that crap... My leg is killing me now. But hey i got a good work out and made my kicking leg strong.... I need to learn to ride goofy now to even myself out :S (I already tried, completely different almost ate it on that one.)
So that was my night a good couple of hours, some crazy events, usually my rides aren't this eventfully.
