A couple of mellow DH runs. Managed to beat some guy on a bike down my favourite hill.

    That felt good.

Thankfully the trucks and wheels survived fine, but the deck is definitely toast... new additions on the way.
    That sucks....which one?

Yesterday a buddy and I were up in the rich people hills looking for bombable streets and we didnt exactly scope out all of them. We went up one side saw another street to go down. I thought I could see that it leveled out pretty fast but I didn't see the fence. We went down, going pretty fast, then it turns out that theres a big wooden fence in the middle of the road. My options, since I didn't know how to footbrake yet (this would probably be useful) were

    1. bail, get a rash, limp home

    2. hippy jump over the 4 foot fence at 30 mph since there was a little gap at the bottom, making me the coolest person on the earth

    3. go into someone's driveway and jump into their lawn

I did 3 since I can't jump that high and I don't enjoy getting hurt. My friend knew how to footbrake so he was fine.

i skated 16 miles today....to some hills and a sick bike trail from my house. i got lucky and found this cool little run By the bluffs. there are two places where you can get great speed to start. one starting area makes it a left left HARD right run and the other faster start is a left HARD right. that right is a bitch to negotiate becuase the road gets narrow. anywasy i am glad i found it. i am probably going to skate it again tomorrow.

I skated one less mile than RastamanD, 15 miles. Well, actually I skated about 5 miles early this morning, and about 15 late this evening(7:30-9pm).

I almost always take the bike path behind my house north, it goes about 10 miles. Well this time I took it south, towards town. I've never really been too sure exactly where the trail is at in some spots, especially on a huge bridge that's about a half mile on a 7-8% grade incline. Well I was just heading out, and I ended up finding out there's a sidewalk right there on the side of the bridge, problem is there's signs on both ends that say "Caution: Loose Sand", and that's almost an understatement.
Of course, being in Alaska we get lots of snow, and they don't use ice melt/salt here, they just throw down sand/light gravel. Well the bridge is the only road over the river, the main highway into Eagle River/Chugiak/Wasilla and any other towns outside Anchorage. The sidewalk is only split from the road by a guard rail, so when they throw down sand I guess the majority of it ends up on that sidewalk, and it can't have ever been swept/cleaned, because there's so much sand on that pathway it's not even funny. I managed to get down, but it was scary to say the least... It would be so awesome if it was clean, I'm actually tempted to go out and clean it all myself, but wow, that would take a good while. I went down footbreaking the majority of the way, because I didn't want to hit a deep sand patch and get thrown doing 35+, I'd probably kill myself, whether I fell 200 feet down to a river, or got mangled against a guard rail, or just ate a whole lot of dirt.

Anyways, 15 miles of good fun solo skating in about 1.5 hours. Tomorrow I might try and skate closer to 30, and see if I can do it.
I need a new idea for a sig.

I wrecked this girl on a bike it was so dumb. we both head directly towards eachother for like 20 feet and neither of us get out of the way. i flew forward onto the grass and she just kinda toppled over to the side, both of us were fine though now I'm thinking I mighta cracked a rib. she was pretty embarrassed since it was right on campus infront of however many people but i just thought it was funny.. didnt get her # though I probably should have tried eh

Had a fun day at a parking garage on campus. About 1 hour in 2 W&M students show up on teh baltic burch pintail sector9's and take one run, all the while hunched over at front end of the board like they were taking a shiite, doing what seemed to be an attempt to imitate my tuck, FAIL. it was funny.

I was doing some downhill carving today through some of the lower-class neighborhoods in new brunswick, and I came across a kid and his mom. The kid was on a little bargain skateboard with full pads, helmet, and everything. It was cute. He told me I had a cool board, and I let him try it on some flat road. He was too light to even turn the trucks, hahaha.

Either than that, I did my normal 4-5 miles of downhill carving and uphill pushing.

I'm at the point where I can pump and maintain speed on flat ground, but nothing uphill yet

i just ####ed around today mostly... jumped a six stair at my house (from my feet landing onto my board and riding it out) which is a hell of a lot more fun than you'd think.

Rode around in the tennis courts for a while on my vanguard. Practiced cross stepping and nose manuals. And I got gum on my board. Any advice on How to get it off. I picked alot off but whats left is just black and smooth now so my foot slips there cuz there is no grip. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
O and my friends and I did some freerunning on the roofs in the center of town. The police didn't like that very much.
