Lousy. I was playing with a new set up last night, and took a nice fall going f$%king fast. Of course no pads (which I'm usually pretty strict about wearing) so I got all bloodied up on my knees and one elbow and pulled my right shoulder out of wack.

Needless to say I missed the Jersey Jumpoff last night because of it. I'm still mad this morning...

today was good. I grabbed my helmet gloves and demonseed and went out to skate to white castle. It was a nice cruise to a park where i cut through to get to white castle. The path is a nice little hill that probably tops out at about 25mph but is still pretty fun because the path is thin and it starts out mellow but then drops into a left hand turn where if you over drift your board could end up in a lake. Anyway, I got two runs in on that and it started raining so i continued on my way to white castle., I got there , ate some burgers and fries and then when I was done, skated on over to the home depot that was just down the street. Got some corian and went home. it was a pretty good ride.

ive heard stiffer decks are easier to pump but for whatever reason i had a lot of luck getting the motion down today on my arbor which has a flex similar to that of a dervish flex 2. it felt good but my legs tired out pretty quickly so maybe i wasnt doing it right after all. cuz pumping is supposed to save energy right?

Pumping isn't as efficient as regular pushing, it is however an excellent core work out and a delightful alternative to pushing. But as mentioned, it won't really save you any energy.

but then why are people able to pump tens of miles? that made me think it was a way more effeicient way to ride and why ive been trying so hard to get it down.

got up at 4:40 AM w/ my friend to skate hills, and went all around el cajon, lakeside, and santee. (all in san diego. im from santee) i fell once on a sharp corner turning and fell backwards drifting, but i had a helmet, so i was fine. it was sweet because we did all of the hills we wanted pretty much before the sun even rose, so there weren't really any cars. SWEET

Pumped to the park, around twice, and back. I pushed maybe 500 feet the whole way over the course of 3.5 miles

You know there's a guy in china who's been pushing hundreds of miles... Just learn how to do it goofy and mongo so you don't 'one-buff-leg-one-skinny-leg' syndrome. It makes your pants fit really weird.

I've been trying to do some 360 pivots for a while, and tried some g turns and it just clicked. So nice, loong nice g-turns. I lean back so much it feels like im only riding on one of the front wheels. Awesome

Outstanding! Woke up about 6:00 this morning, fed my dog (German Shorthair) put on my helmet and gloves, put the harness on my dog, grabbed my board and boarded 1.5 miles into Grand Lkae CO. Never put a foot to the ground. Orderd a pastry and a latte from Susan, drank the latte and fed 1/2 the pastry to my dog. Grabbed my board put on my helment and gloves, did a pass down the docks and back to the cabin. The dog pulled on the flats and uphills, I pulled on the downhills.

Guess we will go sailing tonight. Godspeed!

a friend went to do a photoshoot at the la jolla cove today (a local dive spot in the center of a phat tourist attraction town in san diego) and im kind like a body gaurd for her. her mom asks me to go everywhere with her and if im with her, she can go anywhere, do anything etc. so i went with her today and dropped her off with the photographer while i went to go find parking. i didnt have money so i had to find a spot on the street. figured i had my board in the trunk so i parked off in a residential then cruised through downtown la jolla with her ipod blasting some old school No Doubt. goood time. pumped it all. touched the ground only a couple times. it was sweet. people kept asking me for directiosn and where stuff was. it was cool. smooth ride too. got a nice flex in the arbor but could pump it awesome. got some s9 race forms on it so its a real nice ride too.

had an awesome sesh hitting garages downtown minneapolis tonight...started at 10ish, and i just got home at 2! there was about 13 people there at one time. we based outta one garage and then just skated around the streets checking out all the other ones we could find. some dude hippie-jumped one of those automated arms that keeps you from leaving a ramp until you've paid! ended the night at our favorite garage...awesome

didn't get to skate, but I went night surfing. It was so much fun, waist to head high waves, full moon, catching wave after wave. It was just my friend an I out surfing where it would be at least 30 people during the day in the same conditions.

high school gym was open today... they just refinished the floor. amazing... so smooth. couldnt do many cuts and stuff cuz it was too level so you couldnt maintain speed but it was probably the best surface ive ever ridden. so fun.

today i went and visited my girlfriend at work, we live 5.3 miles from our work. the skate there was fun but kind of a bummer because the wind was blowing at me the entire time haha. it took me 15 minutes longer to get there than usual. but it was great cruising down the road, cross stepping, and weaving between people and cars. the ride back was even better because the wind was at my back and that made things a whole heap easier.

plus it was a beautiful day out (besides the wind) and my girlfriend wasn't too busy at work to talk to me.

then when she got home, she looked at me and asked "do you want to go skate?"...i mean seriously, how awesome is it when your girlfriend skates? so we skated around the block a few times and it was a blast.

total miles skated: approx. 12.5 miles
amount of fun: off the charts!
