Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
So much fun today. Went over to the mall for 4 hours with like 30 kids from school, left over to my friend michael's house with my friend hasan and diego and we longboarded around the whole neighborhood and went over to this girl's house for about 30 mins, got her football stuck in the tree. : P Came back to michael's house and ate pizza, played bball and went longboarding again at night for 30 mins or so, diego ended up bailing when he hit a curb going a good 20 mph. He wasn't hurt too bad or nothing though, he just rolled; before longboarding he did about 4 years of parkour. Eh, sorry for typing out my whole day.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Was longboarding with some friends down a hill and practicing carving and sliding (we're pretty new to longboarding) and it was all and good fun. Late at night, the road/hill wasn't that bad though it could have been better lit. No cars as it was late at night. But then one of my friends decides he wants to bomb down it with one of our longboards (he was riding a skateboard at the time) so I give him my dervish and he goes down it. Hits a good speed, can't say how fast since I'm bad at gauging that, but eventually gets a little speed wobble but evens out, then he hits kind of like a hole or something in the road and just eats it. Took a good chunk out of his chin and blood on his nose, knees and hands. But luckily I was packing a first aid kit, I'm certified in first aid, I'm certified nursing assistant studying nursing, and I work at a clinic cleaning people's wounds up all day. He also didn't break anything. So, he lucked out, haha.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Here was mine...disaster narrowly averted. I put my board down to get my helmet out of my trunk and watched my board in terror as it rolled staright for the sewer...got lucky on that one..

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Dude if that happened to me, I would have FREAKED OUT.
By the way, I am getting better and better and better at pumping. It's so fun.
God, I hate Savannah. Not a decent hill in 100 miles.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Ah wow.. got my lime Big Zigs in today and installed some reds in those from my other wheels and then I added some Blue Khiro bushing bottoms to my RIIs and adjusted that up just right (a bit loose)... all I can saw is WOW! I'm in love with it all over again!
Headed out to our favourite spot (that elementary school ground) with my brother and two friends. Nice and cool this evening and the wind from Ike is gone now. Cleaned up all the larger sticks and nuts from the trees around the main loop in front of the building before we skated and waited for the po-po to leave (he only saw us cleaning up sticks, not the boards lol). We had a greeeeat skate session. Everyone improved on what they were working on trying to learn/get better at too. I worked on improving my pumping and it's a lot better now with the new setup.
I have GOT to get a video of my buddy juggling things while riding his slalom board, lol, it's hilarious; looks like something out of a circus.
I love cool weather. More days like this please, weatherman.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Well, this is only my fourth time riding, and only the 2nd time with my new landyachtz wedge flex... and my first time posting on here.
I love this stuff! I went for a really long (and slow) ride around a park here in town. It was beautiful out today, so this was relaxing and awesome.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
skated a few miles out to the hill yesterday. some younger guys with popcicle decks were out there trying to manual down the hill and kickflipping. they were pretty chill guys though and stoked to try my board. every one of them loved it and how it felt fast and smooth. it's always cool to spread some stoke and open people up to a whole new world of skating they didn't know existed.
I didn't fart on you... I was just on you when i farted.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Today was just one of those awesome days... I skated to meet up with an old friend for some breakfast, then me and another friend cruised around all afternoon. Took my o'tangs down one of my favorite hills for the first time and went waaaaaaay faster than I was used too even though I was carving. Got this high school kid that just moved here stoked up, he rode up on his bike while I was hitting the hill, flew past him doing an easy 30 After that we just cruised around the neighborhood hitting some smaller hills until the call of icees was too great to ignore. After that we met up with some friends and went out for a nice dinner.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Today was crazy and fun. I've covered pretty much all my campus except for the roads, so I decided it was time to venture to one of them. I has a nice grade and has and right turn, and that leads to an up hill. My first run I carved it out; was able to keep a good speed despite carving hard. After hanging out with some friends I decided to go back. This time I bombed it. A couple of hard pushes and then I went into my imperfect tuck. While the on coming traffic didn't honk, I'm sure they were thinking what is this a**hole doing. Every thing was going fine until the turn.
I keep my trucks loose, really loose. Just be fore the turn I started to get wobbles. I try shifting more weight on my front foot but that didn't help. As I pick up more and more speed they got worse and worse, and I was starting to get really worried: there was a car behind me, and I really didn't want to get chucked off my board. I don't know what possessed me to do this; I dropped my knee and held my arms out, and the wobbles disappeared.
Later, I taught a "skate lesson" to my friend. To make things interesting for myself and to encourage her I skated regular (I'm goofy). In between pushing regular, and carving goofy, I managed to nose manual some where around 3 parking spaces, and am getting closer to landing a shovit. My friend had all kinds of trouble, the last "lesson" I had tightened the trucks to make it easier for her. Since I rode this board yesterday, I had loosened them to my preference. She was wobbling about, and slipping off, but this will only help to improve her balance, so I didn't tighten them.
Anyway, this post is becoming quite long, so I'm going to stop.

I didn't do too much longboarding today, but I skated to and from a big ass game of man hunt in a dark forest

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Just got back from a nice garage sesh. First garage is about 4 or 5 stories, and there's a couple lines you can take on each level. That one was fun but the concrete at the bottom is kind of sketchy. Blew out of there onto one of the main streets across town, hardly anyone was out so it was a nice cruise down the hill. Carved and still kept a good head of steam. Couple of girls screamed at us, some guys in a CRX rubbernecked and a couple cars honked in approval. Cruised back to the car and hit another garage. That one I haven't hit before, but it's a lot of fun. It's all toesides (I'm regular) and I think I'll head back again sometime, good drift practice. It's also a lot faster than the first, but there's really only one line to take. Orangatangs are pretty good garage wheels IMO, I've taken the first one with Strikers and they were a bit too drifty. Couldn't hold a solid line or carve at all on those. All in all a good night.
