LOL Funny that's exactly what I did on Saturday too.

Swore I'd rest for a day or two after the bomb since my pushing leg feels like it was dipped into a wood chipper. But nope, Sunday I skated all over. Went great and I just ignored the sore. Some woman even came up to me to ask about my board and what I thought of it and how much it cost. Her husband was looking to get into longboarding and they didn't want to get price gouged in the city.

Today I went to skate to The Met from my violin lesson. Handy part about skate backpacks is not only can they hold my board when I'm not riding it, also quite handy for holding my violin as I skate around town and paintings(dry of course) when I skate to and from school.

So I skated to The Met from my violin lesson in good time for my class that is supposed to meet there, but the museum won't let me check my violin! They won't let me walk around the museum with it either. So I had 15 minutes until 3 when the class in The Met was supposed to kick off. So I book it back home to the other side of Central Park on one of the cut through roads. But the roads are so narrow and twisty and the cabs go so fast there that I had to use the awful unmaintained sidewalk. I made it back to my apartment in record time dropped off my violin. But on my way back I went over a patch of dry leaves.....that were hiding rebar that was sticking out of the sidewalk! My board stopped.....I kept going, well until I hit the ground that is. I haven't eaten pavement like that since I was six years old and learning to ride a bike. My right elbow is shredded. I made it back to the museum in time though. And I walked around looking at Van Gogh and bleeding perfusely from my elbow. Hehe good times. Ripped up my pants too but the bleeding on my knee was pretty discrete.

Went over to a fairly steep hill about two streets over. Just got repaved, so its extra sexy, all black, soooooooo smooth. I did my first real pendi slide, and then stopped after I did it once more, I was soooo happy, I wanted to end the day on a happy note. It gives you so much confident to ride down bigger hills when you know you can kill off some of your speed whenever needed.

I had an AWESOME ride this evening, one of the best! I got my Bustin' Spliff today and set it up with some lime big zigs from my Eclipse. MARVELOUS! I am so impressed with my Spliff and with Bustin boards who had excellent customer service (I goofed on my order originally and had to email them), and was kind enough to give me some free hardware and shock pads and set up my trucks on my board for me saving me valuable skate time this afternoon), and an awesome product. With lime big zigs and TRYING to get wheelbite - I couldn't with those 1/4" risers. It really, really turns. The trucks are set up nice and loose (I can make quick little turns just rocking my feet and toes); it's awesome. Anyway.. on to the ride.

Hopped on, pushed down a sidewalk.. soo smooth an easy to push.. and started zig zagging all over the place testing it out - what a great feeling! A few minutes later I got the hang of pumping on my new little addition to my quiver. Now the real fun began. Pushed as fast as I could get going going down a small inclined parking lot then started carving as hard as I possibly could and cutting in and out between rocks and sticks and kicking up leaves with the tail end of the board on the edges of the parking lot.... awesome.. Found some areas of grass to clear offroading going as fast as I could that I normally take with my pintail; the Spliff cleared everything without flinching - it really does feel like a bigger board when going straight.. when you start turning though, it's a turning monster.

The sun was setting and the parking is at the right angle for it to completely gloss over in a dark orange glow... it truly looks like water.. the ocean at sunset.. to carve it up on a longboard. Carved it up for the entire time of the "magic time" of the sunset with the parking lot. One of the best moments I've ever had skating or longboarding.. way too cool. Weather was completely clear and upper 70's this evening too.. it was a marvelous final tribute to summer and everything it means to longboarding.. and it was enjoyed in style.

While I was there I found a hot car to put my Spliff next to for a unique and totally rad photo. I knew no one would believe me if I just posted text about it.. so here you go..

Finally had to leave a while after the sun went down.. pizza was ready back at home so it was time to hop in the car and we all headed back to the house.

Finally hit up the 2 parking ramps in neenah. I thought the 8 story slow one wasn't going to be that good. cameras on every corner and the elevator (i still used it) but no security problems. I went down about 5 times. the other one is 4 stories no cameras but the elevator gets turned off at night. It is faster and enjoyable. I will get pics, the only bad part is skating by myself.

great ride, started at 11:30 pm(less cars/people) found out a good route to make it completely across campus, my campus is a giant downhill but it was hard to find a good run that wasnt just a straight downhill, skated that same run about 3 or 4 times and then just hit up this little downhill that empties into a huge parking lot for a while

Yesterday evening/last night we just cruised around and took some photos for about an hour. Got dark on us too fast and the majority of the photos turned out crappy. Weather was nice though. Supposed to rain this evening, but I am taking my Spliff and trying to squeeze some skating in today.

Went to the skatepark for three hours with my friend from school tonight. Was wicked fun. I took the Spliff there tonight. Had a blast on the ramps with it and it was really hard to pull myself away from skating tonight because I wasn't tired but it was getting late and I was very thirsty so I finally said my goodbye's and went home. Hung out with a lot of great people tonight; skaters, bmx as well. Really had fun. The pyramid deal is still my favourite thing at the park; it's like a big metal wave to carve on.

I've been skating 5 - 10 miles a day on my new Galac LDP ever since I got it. You can see the board here http://www.silverfishlongboarding.co...galac-ldp.html
I either skate the boardwalk from Mission Beach to Pacific Beach or the out and back trail around Lake Murray. Today as I was relaxing after my ride at the lake I saw a young coed from SDSU unloading her Stinger and spraying the bearings with a liberal dose of WD-40. She asked what I was riding so I showed her my Galac. She had never seen a board pump the way a LDP does. We talked for a bit and them she headed for the trail and I headed for home. You never know who you will meet on a skateboard. Get out and skate!

i dont get to skate much anymore compared to summer which was 5+hours a day. but today i got to hit up the only hill in my town(its an overpass w/a bike path) with my evo/crails and i decided to throw on my otangs. it was SICK! the otangs gripped like mofos!(as in M***** F*****) i had perect lines. its a hill thats only about 5% or less grade and about .17miles long. and i got around 25mph on it i think. not wicked fast, but the hairpin at the bottom makes it all the more cool. plus thte broken glass all over adds to the adrenalin rush. and the random people popping out of nowhere helped me get used to dodging like crazy. still need to work on my speed checks though.

Yesterday was INSANE. I took my dervish to 35 mph down a hill, almost got hit by a car.
I also took my little arbor down a hill to at least 30 mph. My friend was like "promise me you will start halfway down" I said sure, and went the whole way.

Later, we found a parking lot and skated there. I then came up with the idea to have my friend slingshot us across the parking lot. We would skitch and thenwhen the g- forces were the most, we would let go at 20 mph. This was really fun. Soon, My friend was on my dervish, ans I was on my arbor, and his front wheel touched my shoe and instantly ripped it off. My shoe went flying off, and my board got thrown away. It was insane, because it didn't hurt at all. Then, while I was getting onto the golf cart, my other friend slammed down on the accelerator, so I am hanging off the back of a golf cart, WITHOUT shoes, skipping my feet across the ground.

Later, I grabbed onto the golfcart on my arbor, going 25 mph, and we go into a very sharp turn, and I get slung off the cart and my board, and I fly and fall and hit my head. Mild concussion, road rash on my arms, back and knees, and a bruised ass.

    Fun day.

    ^ Dang, dude..

Yesterday ended up being a flop - skating wise. Went to go bomb a hill in a nearby town I like as we always do when we go over there. It ended up raining on the way over to there though. My brother still skated it in the rain on his shortboard with the big 62mm 78a wheels. No biggie since he needs a new deck anyway, and he wants new bearings as well. I left my board in the van and didn't even give her a ride yesterday.

Today made up for yesterday. Went to a fundraiser with our skate club (Blacktop Burners) and skated downtown for 4 hours with 20+ people. Was awesome even if it was in the 40s and 50s - that awkward temperature where you get hot skating with a hoodie on but cold when you stop skating for a minute without the hoodie. It was a blast though. Skaters EVERYWHERE; it looked like Go Skate Day. We had a fish fry going on, and a bake sale and raised more money for our skatepark's ramps and obstacles. Police even stopped by to purchase things from us and donated money to us as well. Great day. No hassles. Tons of great spots and some excellent sidewalk surfing on my Bustin' Spliff. AWESOME DAY.

Today's ride was sweet. It was the PERFECT weather! I skated the commute to school and back today even though I didn't have class. Messed with a few projects at school then skated over to Paragon to buy my very first skate tool. Didn't even wait to get home before I started taking my board apart. So much fun! Messed with loosening my trucks, and taking off the rubber pads to lower the board. Feels so much lower and rides awesome. I can't wait to have an excuse to take it apart again.

And on my ride back home I skitched on horse-drawn carriage(Purely for the novelty. It wasn't going very fast at all) and got asked for my number while actively skating pretty darn fast. The guy was biking so he kept up fine. Whole conversation happened while moving along. Odd day.

And I think a cop tried to pull me over, but I ignored it and he stopped using his siren about a block and a half later. So I guess he was either trying to get through a crowd or was after someone else or was after me and gave up. I did cross kinda funny at a light but only because I got confused about the bike lane jumping around and disappearing. I had the green light though.
