Messed with loosening my trucks, and taking off the rubber pads to lower the board. Feels so much lower and rides awesome. I can't wait to have an excuse to take it apart again.

And on my ride back home I skitched on horse-drawn carriage(Purely for the novelty. It wasn't going very fast at all) and got asked for my number while actively skating pretty darn fast. The guy was biking so he kept up fine. Whole conversation happened while moving along. Odd day.

And I think a cop tried to pull me over, but I ignored it and he stopped using his siren about a block and a half later. So I guess he was either trying to get through a crowd or was after someone else or was after me and gave up. I did cross kinda funny at a light but only because I got confused about the bike lane jumping around and disappearing. I had the green light though.
sounds like you had a killer day and i have always wanted to skitch a horse drawn carriage!!!!!!!!

just skated with my friend that bought his first longboard. While i cross-stepped infront of him i felt a huge deal of superiority.

Yesterday was the best day that I've had so far with my bustin spliff. I've been trying to pump for about three weeks, and it was the coolest thing to keep up with my GF on her bike. shopped around for some lights to use for night riding, and got a little knog frog that fit pretty well on rear truck. Saw a police car; as I came up to it, noticed two skateboarders sitting down next to it. "Am I in the wrong spot?" I ask. "As long as you''re not skating in the streets," was the reply. Ended up skating in the street later that day anyway. Not being allowed to skate on the streets is like not being able to board the backcountry at your favorite ski area. Seriously, inbound crud skiing=unmaintained sidewalk.

so the day started with me cruising around between classes at the campus, it was all good just cruising around and finding new routes (always a fun pass time even if i end up being late to class)
Then when i got home i started typing up a poly sci paper and the creative juices were flowing about as well as molasses on a minnesota christmas, so i just stopped my work and cruised around my neighborhood for about 45min and rediscovered a spot, theres an old parking lot that has been newly resurfaced tucked back in the woods. It was gorgeous the trees were all turning colors and the parking lot was empty and sloped down into a second empty parking lot, i never needed to push and could cross-step to my hearts content =) (probably heading back there in a little bit before it gets dark)

Had school today. When I got home I watched some TV for a while then we all decided to go skating for an hour and a half.

Drove out to our favourite little spot and set up a nice little line of 8 orange cones I bought last week. We had tried them out for about 30 minutes on Sunday at my cousins house, but we stayed busy that day with other stuff so we didn't get much time with it. Today we spread them apart a little more and went faster instead just to get used to them - since 3 out of 4 of us had never tried it before this week. I used my Bustin' Spliff tonight (with RII 180mm, 71mm Alligators (blue), khiro blues and reds) for it and it handled it surprising well. It was fun; great for a beginner like me.

Spent a lot of time just cruising around at the school as well. It was a good evening.

pretty good. theres this hill i always hit up, did it about 7-8 times today with tailwind. i can almost bomb it straight down, just a little airbreaking here and there. hit about 35mph judging from the speed the cars were going. when i started riding that hill 4 months ago i could only get down carving hard and footbreaking.

on my way home i carved down this narrow path that ive went down tons of times. but not in autumn...with leaves on the ground. i slipped up on a toeside carve and fell on my back and head, doing a backwards summersault. im ok, but only because i was wearing a helmet. i hit the back of my head pretty hard.

first time my helmet prevented an injury! yay!

I just recently bought a Gravity Hypercarve last week and was trying to cross step today.

I can't hold my balance when I try to heel side carve to step and I totally just bailed off my board but I was moving too fast to run. I just fell and rolled and hoped to see if any neighbors were out looking lol

Haha, I always get real embarrassed when I try new stuff, so I usually do so at night (which is a stupid move on my part), but I actually get even more weird looks when people take out the trash and stuff. There are also college kids and stuff drinking outside who yell random things, but they haven't bothered me yet.

Right now my legs hurt, my stomach hurts, but it's all good. Tonight I finally went out to skate after a month and a half off my board, figured out how to pump(but still can't, lulz) and getting better. It was only twenty minutes, but it felt real good and left me wanting more. I'm gonna try to convince my mom to let me skate in the early morning tomorrow. Better finish my homework and go to bed soon..

    I had an awesome day!

Rode my Spliff to school today rather than take the bus; that was fun although short lived since I got to campus fast. Then I went to work at the TV station and we had our live show this evening.

After my friend and I got finished with work we skipped dinner and headed over to the skate park and skated non-stop until they turned out the lights on us (automated, goes off around 10pm). Was awesome. I finally got the hang of the quarter pipes! Felt amazing. Got some videos of us too, but it's nothing worth sharing, using a Blackberry to take video at night sucks. lol Just us having some fun and hanging out. Park wasn't very crowded tonight and we saw a lot of people come and go for the 3 hours or so we were there. We had a blast even though it was in the 40s.

Drove into the city and skated with a couple of the SA Longboarders. Bombed a couple of hills (bailed one of em). Lite garage bombing and then a late dinner (Mi Tierra)

So I went out with my Hypercarve again to practice cross-stepping once again. I still have some trouble doing the heelside carve in order to step but I was able to one sloppy cross-step.

I was going for another try, lost my balance, fell on my ass and my board shot straight for my neighbor's big cactus plant who happened to be outside watering. The thing was as fast as a missile and made a nice big gash in front of his plant.

He saw me totally eat it and I apologized as I went up to grab my board that got some nice gooey aloe vera on the tip of the board. He said, "Well the plant's fine but your head might not be if you fall on it. You might wanna be careful next time." Which he was right since I wasn't riding with my helmet. I apologized again and cruised back home with a bruised butt and ego.

Most every shcool day i wake up walk out side to a sweet DH course to school
there are 3 big drops and then i nice 90 degree turn to drift thru
then some mellow flat riding down to school on my kebbek flushcut and that the best way to wake up in the morning and always use a helmet because i rather use one and look kinda lame then become retarded

I had a good time this evening at our skate club meeting. Cruised around doing some simple tricks and having a blast. Repping longboarding as usual. Riding my Eclipse felt so weird tonight after riding my Spliff for the past couple weeks.

Dang, I always get so jealous when I look around on SilverFish and see all the people talking about having buddies to ride with. The only friend I have that would ever get on a longboard got into trick skating with his other friends after I didn't skate the entire summer cause I spent it online with some chick I'm not even friends with anymore. I feel so stupid now and regret it so much. Even if I didn't skate, I should've at least earned some money.

Today ended up being a great day for skating! It was raining earlier in the morning so i was kinda bummed but it cleared up and then got super windy so everything dried real nice. Anyway, practiced some crosstepping and some simple dancing and then I went out around 9:30 put on some tunes and cruised around a bit. Great relaxing day of skating!
