Broke my right wrist yesterday cross stepping on my dervish. I had just gotten it down earlier that day and got a bit too ambitious and stepped on my wheel lol. Now im casted for 6 weeks for a scaphoid fracture I'm right handed too.

Today was pretty interesting, I went out to a local hill that is damn long, and freshly paved. Great to learn how to bomb, and how to shutdown slide or pendis. I went out to do just that, dial down my pendis at higher speeds, and Im attempting them at about 30mph. I got one down perfectly, and when I got back to my regular stance, feeling on top of the world, I decided to try doing a toeside slide, with both my hands on the ground. Slid out, and ended up under a car haha, with two people watching, they stared me down hardcore.
I went back up to keep attempting them, did another, half successful coleman, but it was sloppy, and then when I look behind me, there was this guy who was following me on his truck, and he gave me a flier for some local race in december, no idea who he was, and he wasnt going to bonelli, I dont even think he knew what it was.
Then I went up the street to practice predrifting on my heelside turns, and my first ever attempt, I did a small drift and stuck the corner, it was a great feeling....and now im getting more comfortable with footbreaking regular, since I usually do it mongo, but thats not working out when Im going 30+

I also got my first white line from sliding, I usually get black, so I dont know what determines white or black.

All in all, it was a fun little sess with my self, felt like I was dialing down on essential skills.

Was wet all day.. I finally said "screw it" and took my Spliff with me to this formal dinner thing and awaiting a break in the 'festivities' to go skate. My little brother did the same thing. We went out and skated around parking lots in mostly the dark in the rain soaked streets and parking spaces. Lots of mud and gritty sand everywhere, very slippery. I felt bad getting my Spliff wet so I dried it off when I was finished (only skated about 30 minutes, myself) with a sheet I had in the van and neatly put it back away. The inner part of the wheels were not wet so no bearing issues - I was using Mini-Logos anyway. Felt great to get to skate today even though it was all wet. I REALLY, REALLY wanted to try out my new Evo today but I guess that will have to wait.. until tomorrow hopefully.

Just went out for a skate, it was only like half an hour or so. I was listening to music though, and when that happens I just completely blank out and I never remember anything besides the great feeling of smooth road and great (well to me, haha) music. There's this one part of my neighborhood that's basically a big circle, and the entire thing is pure heaven, smooth as hell.

Whenever I go out at night, I always bring my knife with me, cause I get kinda freaked out when I see random people walking the street staring at me or whatever it is people do at night. I know that sounds really weird but my mind goes crazy when I'm alone and if it's a knife that'll make me feel more relaxed, then it's a knife I will carry. A few minutes after I left my house I realized I forgot it, but didn't want to go back cause I was just enjoying myself too much. Tonight I realized how many places in my route were pitch-black, which usually adds to the 'fun,' but this time it just plain freaked me out.

On my way home, as I got closer to my house, I saw about five guys walking in the middle of the street. As I skated nearer, it kinda seemed like they were trying to block the road and were gonna shove me off my board or something. When I skated past I was just all "sup," but my voice completely betrayed me..it was kinda high pitched. But they turned out to be cool, they greeted me back and I think I heard one of them say "what kinda board is that.." I decided to play it safe anyway and went past my house before turning back and cutting through a yard to get to my front door.

Haha, I do that too. The most frequent thought I have is jumping off my board, grabbing it, and truck-slamming the dude in the face and/or crotch.

I was planning on going for a ride today - I had every intention - then it SNOWED. I hear Tuesday will be dry though.

I went to some 8 level parking garage, hardly any cars/security on the lower floors so I was able to ride down a good 6 or 7 levels before going back into the elevator up. I was just practicing some stand up slides with my small little S9 Cosmic and my 78a Flashbacks.

Worked out pretty fine but I just need to work on it more. I tried doing some toe side slides but that didn't work out to well so after getting about 5 or 6 more runs in I headed back home.

I'm stoked to get my Dervish I ordered last week and it's supposed to come in this week.

I got to ride my revamped LDP setup to work toay, rode the last five miles without touching ground. It was a beautiful morning again, a great day to ride. I think I need to dewedge the back trucks a bit more for higher top end speed, but the new shape is certainly more fun to ride.

Oh my.. mine was cold as well. Rode around at our skate meeting that I was at all evening (3:30pm to about 8pm) but I didn't ride the entire time. My face was numb from the below freezing weather and it got dark on us right after we were allowed to skate this clinic parking lot once the cars left. Lots of rocks everywhere and no lights in 3/4 of the place so I called it quits after a while and just hung out the rest of the time except for a short cruise at the end right before I left. I had a good fall today. Ripped a nice hole in my new Levi's and bloodied my left knee up again; bruised my hands up as well. I went to off-road over this gap of grass then drop off the bank and back onto the pavement and I picked up a lot of speed so I'd clear it with enough speed to stay level when coming off the ledge at the end but it backfired on me when my board sunk into the mud and stopped and I went flying down back onto the road on my knee. I have cleared that spot numerous times before but tonight was just not my lucky night.

90 degrees today. Got out of swim practice this morning and had an hour till school started. Skated through some neighborhoods and around the track for a bit. There's a big hill leading down to the track to pick up a bunch of speed.

^ Lucky weather guy. It was around freezing here tonight. Earlier today I commuted to class on my Spliff, then when I got off work I caught up with my friend who was already a couple blocks away by riding down the hill on the sidewalk in the no skate zone past the cops (lol.. they didn't do anything - WIN!). We went over to the skate park - it was completely dark again but we weren't too upset. I loaned him my Spliff and I got to cruise on my Evo tonight for the first time. I LOVE this board!! I haven't even had it over 25mph yet - just cruised around the roads (really mild hill) and carved around on it - I had no idea it would be good at that - it felt great. Thing rides like it's on tracks; very precise feeling when turning. So easy to push and foot brake on it.

We had a nice little 15-20mph corner session going for a while tonight (sharp little turn that drops down a steeper part and back around on itself). Having some heel-side fun with my slide gloves. It was great until a skunk showed up and we had to leave - lol. We made sure not to scare it when it walked over to where we were and just slowly left to go skate another part of the park's road for the rest of the evening.

We met another longboarder at school/work today! Guy about my age who has a couple other friends there that talked him into getting a longboard (he has a long sector 9 board, he didn't have it with him inside the building) - they are somewhere on campus too but I haven't got to meet them yet. We talked for a while and he hadn't heard of Silverfish so I gave him a paper with links to the 'fish, my email, etc, and I just realized I made an error in the concrete wave addy I gave him - drat! I say he will join, which will be sweet. Hopefully we get to skate soon.
