I talked to a cop after the ride and he said as long as i didn't hold up traffic then i wasn't breaking any laws -___-
however, if i did it on a sidewalk then i could have gotten a potential ticket... the city cops have much bigger fish to fry in san diego than a dare devil on a longboard

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
i usually do like a 2 mile ride every day. just like a chill cruising session. i always wear my helmet but yesterday i couldnt cuz i left it at my buddies house. so i was cruzing and it started to rain so i hid under sum tiki hut until it cleared up. so now im on my way home and about a block away from my house, and i ride over an extremly and wet slab of side walk mid turn, and my board slid and i fell back and hit my head on the concrete. damn it hurt and now i have a golfball on my head. but theres no serious injuries, at least i think not. i feel fine. i was a little dizzy at first but now i feel fine.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
yikes, get well soon, Guitarchick!
I just came back in from a little night riding. I put the Lemon Zigs on my Dervish to try them out a bit since they weren't really broken in while on my Hypercarve.
Super stoked on them and I just got down stalefish slides so I'm happy.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I stepped on a longboard for the first time in my life 2 nights ago. I ended up riding around with some friends and friends of friends for like, 5 hours, getting home at 3 AM. By the end of the night I had blood on my left leg and some new friends. Yesterday morning, I went online and bought a longboard, with the help of another friend. I can't wait for it to come.
I went back out last night and cruised around with a borrowed board. I go to school at UCLA, and I can't imagine a friendlier place to skate. The campus gets deserted after about 10:30, and there are some awesome spots. It's a hilly area, so there are plenty of nice lines. And, given that we are in LA, the school is totally covered in 7 story parking garages with no cameras and the friendliest security guards on the planet. It's a student job, so it's generally some 20 year old kid who would rather turn a blind eye.
I can't wait till the next time I can go skate.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I gotta say, I have learned more about longboarding and picked up more stoke from this thread then possibly anywhere else. Been longboarding for a while, but never taken it seriously until recently. Awesome work guys (and girls!)!
Oh yeah, my ride. Well, I took a new 46" Pintail out for a quick spin (my friend was following me on my mini, hah). It wasn't bad, but the weather we've been having makes it hard to squeeze in a skate at all. Roll on summer.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
okay its not much of a ride, BUT
i got a rayne pug a little while back and didn't have hardware or wheels to give it a spin. Just got back to MSU, so i threw on some Randal 180s and BigZigs and rode it down my carpeted hallway (snow outside ) so like i said not much of a ride, BUT i got to ride my pug for the first time and it was SEXAYY

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Chilly weather today, but I HAD to ride my brand spankin' new Landyachtz Drop Wedge! Hit a few small hills and railed some tight greenway corners and just had a blast. I never expected myself to enjoy a board this much, super glad I bought it.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I got a hairline fracture in my collar bone on sunday. It's all good though, according to the doctor.
****ing rain. I was doing colemans and 180 slides perfect, but, I ate #### almosy instantly when I tried a speed check. The board just flung out from underneath me.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Commuted to the mall, met up with my girlfriend and friends, skated more afterwards, my friend broke his wrist, he and my other friend Mike were on the same board skating, my friend jumped off while my friend was sorta leaning on him and he lost balance and fell really hard. He broke his wrist, it is pointed upwards while his hand is flat and normal and the bottom is really bruised up. Some jogger lady took him to his house while I stayed with my other friend and I was afraid to ride my humu for fear of that happening to me.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
What kind of weather are people riding/commuting in right now? Today it was down in the teens in the morning and the high was only 30 degrees or so. No ride for me, that's just too damn cold.
