Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I was out at my aunties and i was cruising around as she walked with my little cousin. We walked over to the huge horse farm that her father owns, and i boarded around there on the super nice pavement. We eventually ended up in the foaling barn to look at some of the newborn horses, and as we are about to enter the barn a worker who knows my aunt well comes running behind us, and tells us that she has to go foal a horse. So, me and my longboard watched a horse being born.

I love my Superglider more everyday. The new shape is perfect. So low and the concave keeps my feet totally secure.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I went hill hunting/slding with my friend. We got dropped off at one hill to start. He was using a Surf One Classic and was more focused on bombing where as I was testing my homemade slide gloves on my Carve 39 with some 88a Strikers. We had a lot of short but sweet runs and found this one slow but long downhill. Then my friend sat down as I did some simple slides down this one hill a few times. A car even blared it's horn at me as I was going up and my friend said he looked all pissed off, oh well. It was a fun day, and I thought it was funny how, since the slide pucks on my gloves were furniture sliders, whenever I slid on rougher pavement, I could see flakes of the puck flying up all around me, haha. I'm just happy that my friend got stoked on longboarding!

I worked on my skogging as I crossed campus. It was funny to watch people get out of my way after I pushed unstably with my off foot. It makes communiting WAY less tiring, just gotta work on the off foot.

I'm doing the same thing, one of my legs is noticeably more muscley so Im trying to even it out. Pushing up hills is hard with the off foot!

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Had sort of a wimpy sesh today, just went out by myself. There's a safeway parking lot thats pretty nice because its not too crowded and its sort of built on a slope where it goes flat, slope, flat, slope, flat. Had some fun, but it was hella windy and destroying my speed (even going down the slopes it actually was slowing me down), so I called it quits after about 30 minutes. Better luck tomorrow I hope

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Shortest daily ride ever for me, lol! Was at the mall and they had a G&S pintail thing there with Tracker Fast tracks and some soft wheels (don't remember what they were). Was out of the box.. so... I helped myself to a little cruising around inside Dick's Sporting Goods. Was hilarious fun and no one that worked there cared since apparently that's why they had it out (along with a street deck and a rip stick) for people to test. Was a refreshing surprise today. I only played with it for a few minutes but it was a welcome few minutes.
I just wish that had been AFTER the car accident we had in the parking lot where some stupid 17 year old girl side-swiped us as we were turning left into a parking aisle when she floored it and tried to make it past us before we could turn all the way in. Was retarded. What was more retarded was the cop that said he couldn't file a police report on it because it happened on "private property" and wasn't under and traffic laws... WTF.... it was the mall parking lot. Makes me wanna do ****ing burnouts and donuts with my WS6 around the parking lot then debate my ticket I'm bound to receive in court over it and see if I can get out of it because it's "private property" and there aren't any signs posted about that behavior. ****ers. I scared the crap out of the girl though. She started to drive off after she jumped out of her (daddy's) car to check the damage and ran back inside her car and started to drive off. I hopped out of our van and chased her down and yelled at her. When she heard me yell her license plate, which is 644 AMZ btw *wink wink* she slammed her brakes and I got up beside her window and just glared at her with me meanest expression of "Imma kill you *****", I'm not a small guy, and she started slowly backing up to where she could turn in the parking lot aisle as well and park her *** there. She drove really slowly looking around to see if anyone else was watching so she could drive away so I stood in front of her enough to block her and kept her there. She gave up as I stood right next to her window some more and finally shut it off and got out. I hate people that hit and run after being a victim of that once, and seeing my buddy as a victim of it once as well, I wasn't about to let it happen today. Though if I had known that the cop was going to completely let her off and say "nothing wrong happened" about the whole ordeal I would have let her drive off and "bump" me a bit on the way so I could have filed a hit and run accident and a hit and run pedestrian on her ***. GRR.. my family is one **** magnet lately of bad luck.. Oh well.
Sorry for the rant, but I had to get that off my chest.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
It's been raining cats and dogs all day but it. Finally let up a few hours ago and me and a friend took our our beater decks and had the most gnar slide sesh we've had in a while. 1/4 mike long hill seriously steep grade. He actually was able to pull some crazy lucky bs slide where he went in for a Coleman but ended up on both of his hands behind him and his board parallel to the road in front of him while doing rotations. It was the tits.

You know whats funny about that? It's actually teenage boys that are the greatest threats on the road. I was shocked when I heard that from my doctor. Just thinking that I am the greatest threat to all of you out there almost offended me, then I thought, oh yeah, thats exactly why. Teenage boys think they're the best drivers out there and its everyone else that is terrible. Now I'm gunna go do 75 in a 25. 8)

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
so i went out to one of my favorite spots today
its a park trail with lots of mellow hills that are great for carving
when i got there i found out that the valleys between the hills were flooded with a good six inches of water
i then went to this little storage/warehouse area near my house
one has a loading dock right in front which is just a concrete platform with these little hairpin/elevator things off the sides which is always fun for a little while
i then moved on to another loading dock which has all the concrete sloping towards a drain making for a fun ditch
the only problem is that some security guards were outside on a smoke break and as soon as i got in there they chased me off
a couple stoke killers there, but it hit 70* and i got to ride, so i was pleased
oh...I also found out that my church has a sloped parking lot that is brand new and no one ever parks there, fun cruising/dancing, potential footage spot for this summer
Ride what you Love, and Love what you Have.

Roads are wet and crappy. I decided to ride anyway. You can't keep me off that thing for more than 3 days or so. I'll ride whatever the sky gives me.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
hit these hairpins yesterday. it was fun, i kept over rotating my shoulders on my corners tho, so i ended up slidding 180 off the road. i realized crashing at higher speeds is pretty sweet after you get up and realize your unscathed.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
So glad the weather is starting to turn nice. Mid 40s, dry and sunny here today, so I went to the state park for a half hour at lunch. Just cruised some mellow trails and pushed around some. Mostly flat, but a few mellow (very mellow) hills. Nice and private, though, so I go there from time to time just to practice stuff.
Tried cross stepping a bit, but was very rusty after a winter off (I only started to learn last fall). I also tried riding around switch for a while. That's coming along. I'm might try to make myself ride switch the whole time whenever I'm at this park. If I can live up to that, it would give me 30-60 minutes a week of riding switch, assuming I go once or twice a week.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Was having a terrible afternoon but it was sunny and in the low 60s so I grabbed nothing but my Eclipse, my slide gloves, my little mp3 player, hopped in my old Thunderbird, and went to the elementary school after hours for a nice, mellow, solo ride. Did nothing but listen to Indie rock and cruise around in the sun, pumping once in a while when I wasn't being super lazy. Leaned back on my gloves around a mellow turn on the road there half a dozen times or so. Felt nice. So nice. Skating this afternoon mellowed me out so much today.. only thing that can sometimes.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
took my evo back to the hairpins, im addicted to them. some guys watched me and took me up the hill for a while. theyve never even heard of longboarding, its funny how people think your crazy if theyve never really seen anybody do it before, there like "your hitting these corners at like 25 man you need to be careful", and i do realize i need to be, but its amazing how safe i feel on my board...ive progressed so much, lifes great
