Got some really fluent cross steps around my neighborhood, working on some peter pans now. But this lady ticked me off. First of all, I was in a playground zone (maximum 30km/h). I was probably going 10km/h and I see this van coming along on the other side of the lane. I move to the side and gave her TWO lanes of space. Guess what she does? She honks at me for the longest time and mouthed at me to get off the road! God that just pissed me off. Playground zone panzy, take it slow. I was out of her way. If she honestly had to do that, she must be a really bad driver. And I had the notion that my neighborhood was really nice and I've said hi to people there before.

    ###### rough. I slammed into a curb going about 25 after a botched slide due to oncoming traffic. The board wedged against the curb and into my inner thigh barely missing my family jewels. I can barely walk. It's like someone just gave me a gnar charley-horse everytime I standup

Went out to actually skate (as opposed to just occasionally cruising) for the first time in about a month to work on finally breaking in these freakin' Gumballs I've had for months. Fun fun. I just wish I had gone to somewhere with at least a small hill, because I was dying from pushing back up to speed everytime I pulled a slide. When I got home my pulse was going crazy, and I had to walk around outside for a few minutes before I stopped feeling like I was going to explode.

    I need to skate more.

EPIC.........I hit my first frontside grinds since I broke my right ankle 7 months ago....I've been hitting backside grinds for about a month and half but for whatever reason I just haven't been able to hit a frontide on anything until today. Not sure if it's the board or the wheels (both are new) or if I finally just nutted up but it feels good to grind again

    That's great, X! Glad you're healed.

I went out for a couple hours just now, to break in some Road Rages and just explore. I'd been cruising on the wheels forever, but hadn't slid them. Got the back to break both ways, coleman, and toeside--for a hot second--stand-up slide. Pretty grippy still. Roamed around. Took a sharp right-hander faster than I have before. Felt good. An old lady looked at me and said, "Well whoop-di-doo!" Found some minor new hills. Fell on my ass and tore my pants. The usual.

B E A utiful! A friend and I decided to hang out at a train station's parking lot and I taught him how to cross step. But in three hours, I was able to nail down some peter pans, smoothen out my cross steps, do a toe-edge then backwards cross-step, do a cross-step walkaround, some walk the planks, and some coffin carves. Two security cars were there and three cop cars passed by and didn't kick us out. Yay!

    Ah very nice.
I hate security patrols, everything's a powerplay with them.

Anyways, just about the only riding I get to do anymore is my 7 minute commute to school every morning. It's actually pretty great, I live atop a giant hill. And I'm fortunate to say that the roads I take are literally one of the best known DH runs here in Salem, OR.
It's the only thing that gets me through the day.
Actually, I just got my original trucks, and they're so fun my trip went from about 7 minutes to somewhere around 20, sliding and carving an what not.
These original trucks just took my morning downhill to-school commute from 6 minutes to twenty.

Like surfing. I recently bought the apex 37 and added the abec 11 flashies (81a), and go down hills. i put enough power to get a somewhat slide. haha, but the carving is perfect. i love this board.
    honestly like surfing on water

Cool Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?

So after Boarding by a nearby trail, I decide to go home, on my way home I have to cross a park, and, on this park was a group of young black kids. I'm walking and one walks towards me and says "wuzzup", so i'm like "hey".
He turns to his friends and says "he coo".
As I'm about to pass the group, the big one says "gimme yo skateboard".
and naturally, I say no, and keep on walking, trying to avoid trouble. And he follows me for a few feet and repeats his question.
I turn around and say "NO!".
He gets in my face and starts yelling something, I let him yell and wait until he's done, and right after he's done yelling, he looks at me for a few seconds and says, "i'm just messin' with you", and walks off, laughing with his friends. I was about to hit him, but I'm not a violent person and I try to avoid any type of trouble with people. But other than that, I sat on a hill with my board and waited for the rainclouds to arrive.
The never did. They completely avoided the spot I was at.

In the last three days I've learned to slide and pump. I don't know why, it just clicked with me how to do it and there it was.

Rode around on mine earlier for ten minutes, trying not to play with it too much cause I gotta take it apart and paint it. I haven't even put grip tape on it yet so I can't wait to see the control that I'll get.

i was riding and having a great time, a little cross steping... my trucks are supper tight with hard bushings, for crusin in a strait line, so there i am cruzin... in a strait line nearly runing myself onto the grass on the side of our streat... a very wide streat, no lanes, very untraveled and some old lady comes on the wrong side of the rode right behind me (our street is two and a half lanes wide) and starts honking... so i go onto the grass... she contiues honking, i get off my board and stand on the grass, she passes by with an expression on her face reading: "now was that so dificult."

Fun Went to this really steep hill with no runoff and a 90 degree turn so my friend and I decide to walk it down 3 quarters of the way and I still picked up more speed than I could handle and bailed forward. Luckily it was in a park and it was very grassy. Fun nonetheless. Oh and I was able to get some nose manuals down! Shuvits still scare me.
