Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I'm a really new rider, probably about a week of experience, and i went out crusing today on my Hellcat (I know it's a downhill board but i love the stability). I forgot my good shoes at work, and i didn't think there would be too much difference between the Emerica's and my crappy walmart work shoes, but there is a world of difference, i feel clumsy in these shoes. Anyways i managed to scout out some damn nice trails for when i get a bit better including some Fierce carving paths. The biggest thing is i need to learn how to stop other than just turning and bunch than running it out.

Just got the Never Summer Heist today for my birthday! It's awesome! Has a lot more flex than my old Layback and it carves like a dream!!! I can't wait to ride it again... it's raining now...

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I just got a new board. A 46" Sector 9 Bamboo Pipeline and I took it out for a 30 minute cruise. The roads suck here in Minnesota where I live so I'm gonna have to find some better places to ride. I started riding in Florida where the roads are smoother on a 53" Gravity. I called it "The Beast." I have only been riding for about a month, so I'm not very good. If anyone lives in Minnesota and knows of good places to ride, cruising, hills, etc. let me know!

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Absolutely amazing! I bought some new wheels for sliding on Friday (62mm Bones SPFs) to replace my flatspotted 53mm wheels and finally got to test them out today. After about ten minutes I was doing toeside pendies on the steep-ass hill in front of my house, where I'd never been able to do them before.
Then while walking back up the hill to do my third run, I noticed a shortboard sticking out of a trashcan in front of one of the houses. It looked in pretty decent condition - and just then someone came out of the house and confirmed that it was just being thrown out, so I thanked them and snagged it. It's a Minilogo deck with Venture trucks and some well-worn Minilogos, but other than some bird #### that I had to scrape off it's not in any worse condition than any other well-used deck.
I'm completed stoked, I'd been considering buying a shortboard so I could start working on improving my ollies and maybe try moving on to other tricks, and the skateboard gods saw fit to bestow one upon me for free!

It was sweet. Its the hottest today its been all year! Im so tired though, i was pushing around my neighborhood (flat) full speed forever, sweat is dripping down my face right now haha. Im pretty sure its the fastest ive ever pushed (iron maiden can do that to you, ya know)
oh ya, and there was this huge dustdevil/garbagedevil/whirlwind thing that just suddenly sprung up about 50 feet from me and i rode through it, it was sick

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
yesterday was probably the greatest time ive ever had longboarding. My friend bought his first board on friday and yesterday I went to his house and we crusied around for about 3.5 hours. It was really nice out so we cruised wearing nothing but our boardshorts which was very nice, not to mention the fact that the entire city that he lives in is just mellow hills with some steep ones thrown in. There was actually one route we found where you start at his house and take a large loop (~

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Rode to my buddy's house to drop off his Gamecube controllers. No Natty Ice involved, thankfully.
After that, hit up a long, nicely-paved hill and hurt myself trying to cross step. I'll get it eventually.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I decided I was gonna see how fast I can push around this 2.27 mile loop road at a local park today timed on my cell phone. The park is a mixture of flats, gentle ups, and gentle downs. I skate mongo and pushed that way probably 60 - 65% of the time, alternating to regular to keep fatigue down and pumped here and there on flats and slight downs.
I ended up doing it in 9:15 - almost a 4 minute mile with an average speed of almost 15mph! For being out of shape and never sprint skated before I'm quite pleased.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
It was the best ride I've ever had! My Randall 180s showed up today, but that wasn't what made it so great, since I've already been borrowing my friend's set. When I got home from school (yaaaaaay for school almost being over!), I saw a huge box on my porch, and it contained by new trucks, as well as my Loaded Dervish deck. I know that there will be a lot of people hating on my new setup for getting that deck, but that's fine, I didn't get it to impress anyone. Anyway, I've been riding a top-mounted Sector 9 cruiser, so I was really enjoying the way that it is a drop-through. It makes it easier to push, but the slides are heavenly (I have Retro Freeride Lemons). I had some consistent speed-checks going, both heelside and toeside, and had a great time.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Today was for sure my best session ever. I've only been longboarding for a week, but today I slid out a hard carve and I was super stoked. I was also skating on a basketball court and some little kids came over because they thought my board was awesome, so I let this little six year old ride my apex 37 and he was so psyched. He also claimed that he had jumped out of an airplane and that his dad was 85 years old. Awesome day.
Keepin' it stoked since 1990

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Last weekend, me and my friend were stuck out in the middle of nowhere at my sisters boring soccer games. so we grabbed our boards and just started riding. we finally found this trail back in the forest and it was amazingly paved and we cruised on that for a while then finally we end up in this town 10 miles away after 45 mins. it was a ton of fun.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I had a great time today, and I finally learned stand up slides! I've been trying them for a couple of months, but I think that I got them today because of the combination of my new Dervish (instead of a top-mounted S9) and me being out of school/having all day to skate.
