Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Today I was cruising around campus, the coolest thing on four wheels. I've been trying to learn to pump effectively lately (seems like maybe I need to push up to a higher speed first) and just as I'm wiggling through the brick paved main square, BAM, I hit a patch of loose bricks and go flying off a toeside carve.
People were watching. I heard a "OOH!" from the peanut gallery. I'm not scraped up or anything, I just got up and let everyone know, "It happens, folks!" I jumped back on and pushed away with my tail between my legs. Otherwise, it's a pretty nice day out and was a good day to board.
Anyone else have an embarrassing public fall story?

Rode for 4 hours yesterday. It was 85. I got dehydrated and camped out in a CVS bathroom under the faucet for about half an hour.
I drank 6 full bottles of water during the ride, too.
Today I rode through part of Metro Beach (Detroit) with my girlfriend tagging along on her rollerblades. I forgot how fast those things are.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I went up to Briteside today and did 6 or so runs. Lots of fun, bit wobbly on my part but whatever i never fell. I was told i got up to around 55-60 km/h but that could be inaccurate. It was a super hot day, and i couldnt of asked for a better ride.

Woo, first post here.
Finally got The Pusher on the trail for the first time.
Did 16 km with a friend on blades.
I'm liking the cruising, very relaxed, and the board rolls good!!
Google Maps Track
Track done with iphone gps (motionx). Not too shabby.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Coolio. I went for probably a 3-4 mile ride with my family (they were on bikes) today on this path i have by my house, got some good pictures, almost crashed into a fence (twice).
Went fast, chilled, got sweaty.
Thats what its all about

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I had a pretty relaxing ride today, went to a packed Almaden park. There are a couple of miniscule but fun hills, enjoyed dodging folks on those. Later, I went to this fun little bank (small incline) at the bank (center of money exchange) by my house, rode up and down doing body varials, very laid back. I also practiced some more shuvits, there're getting more consistent. I'm trying to them switch, which is tricky...
